Simulations don't mean jack and as GC tweeted yesterday, they're going through and fixing a lot of tooltips in the next push which of course will be picked up as buffs/nerfs by data miners.

This isnt a tooltip fix, they removed Glyph of Mind Spike interaction with FDCL, meaning no more istant MBs with procs.
In the previous built they nerfed considerably DP damage "to reduce PvP burst".

I hate whining but this is getting over my nerves, I don't mind being nerfed if i'm op, but i'm consistently the bottom of the charts in my guild on any pure ST fight, and I'm definitively not worse than them seeing my damage is 1-2k DPS from my simulated dps.

working on my resume...and my comp kept freezing like it wants me to be stuck at my job.

lfr is a dirty whore with herpes. 4pc? no...but my 6th pair of impaling treads....go f yourself windlord.

also, want to level my alts...love the dk, shaman and hunter since i got JS hunter bar...but with running dailies...farming...doing lfr on my pally and warrior...they are withering like the dead guys in 28 days later.

Ok, here are a few:

Hymn of Hope = happy healers
Void Shift + (Desperate Prayer/Dispersion/Healthstone) = saved person that was about to die
Halo/Cascade and/or VE = good after "bad overloads"/Titan Gas/Go Away/etc etc etc

(Don't forget the "Priest" part of the Shadowpriest!)

The DP change wasn't a nerf, unless you PVP, they spread out the damage to the dots. It's already been simmed as a VERY minor dps loss.

The new one however, is a solid nerf. I didn't use FDCL myself, as it was too proccy for me, but I can see where that will hurt.

But Divine Star is better dps... Halo doesn't work well when you are supposed to do a lot of stacking.

Heh, I'm actually messing around a bit with the Star now
(Plus, it's something else you can actually hit on-the-move - I got REALLY spoiled by playing my hunter...)

It's been a while, but everything I looked at before (IV, mainly) said to just take Halo and use it as a damage cooldown. That just seems like a colossal waste of a skill to me - Halo's a very good healing CD and should be used as such. (Not so good when stacked up, as you said, but quite nice otherwise.)

Cascade's been really fun with my Holy spec as well - taking that in Shadow seems fine as a decent healing skill (I'd macro it to hit myself so I don't have to re-target).

Don't know about the FDCL stuff - I've always used the squid. *shrug* Well, that and my priest is my 3rd-in-priority char so he doesn't get near the playtime of the others - I'm lucky to get him through all of LFR in a week.

Let's not be stupid.

Hymn of Hope is hardly noticeable, fights are tuned with healers not having it, and even when they have it it's a very minimal amount of mana.

Halo and Divine Star's heals are a joke. They are so small that they are lost in the massive amount of aoe healing going on in serious raids. Don't see how the 25k heal from my DS is going to save someone taking 100k aoes or stop a healer from hotting the shit out of them.
Plus, if you are serious on DPSing, you use them on cooldown, thus can never time them to hit right after damage anyway.

I use Void shift every now and then, but in fact, many times you cant, cause if you use it, and are hit by an aoe right after, you just change the person who dies. And a DPS death is a wipe in hc raiding.

Let's not be silly, the Hybrid classes have been dead long ago. No class brings special utilities to the raid to justify them being 30k dps behind other dps classes.

In real raiding, Shadowpriests are a DPS, they can't use any of their support skills.
No, sorry, 10 men normal and LFR are not "real raiding". They are tuned for casuals and disorganized groups, so even if you stop doing dps and start healing, the boss wont Enrage wipe you.


Sorry, random raging, I really hate being a dead weight in my raid group. Hardcore people bring shadowpriests to single target fights only when they have no other casters to fill the spots nowadays.
