About to do the same. No matter what previous achievments and kills I have, guilds only care about my current gear and experience.I've never been let in on 1tankfights by the other tank/raidleader.
I rather quit than to experience progression in a world500+ guild,I'd get very frustrated. Watching others fail for days on simple fights when I already know the fight in and out is just not fun .

Sounds like you were frustrated with a particular part of the game, but will miss other parts.

I'm strongly considering quitting my raid group if attitudes there don't change by the time I get back from vacation. They are trying to be "hardcore" in a family guild, and the attitude isn't working. If I get back and they are still stuck on Garallon, it won't be pretty.

I think it may be time for me to see if there is enough in the game to hold my interest if I'm not raiding outside of LFR.

You will get it next reset, due to increased focus in first few attempts and more experience on the fight. But those players will put it down to gear.

Actually I'm glad it's taken. The name my hunter had (Afkshot) was a joke name because I never figured I'd do anything with them.

Naming a toon is always the hardest part for me for some stupid reason.

Well it doesn't help that when you DO think of a name that fits and is oh so perfect and then plug it in... it's usually taken.
