T14 gloves off of sha for my little alt tank

Went into Ulduar (10) for the first time in years. Soloed Orbituary, Ignis, Razorscale, Heartbreaker, Koralon, Iron Council hard mode, Auriaya, and Hodir (before timer).

Almost managed to solo Thorim but he kept despawning on entering the arena; after many tries, Nika joined me, and we two-manned Thorim, Knockx3 Freya, Firefighter, and Vezax hard. Then three manned Yogg+0.

I just have to go back next week and re-do Razorscale and Koralon for my meta and the mount.

Thorim is a right pain to solo. There are plenty of videos out there and you've probably seen them already if you're getting him into the arena. If he's despawning at that point, it's probably because you pulled him/jumped down before what's her face spawned beside him. I've been doing him on my shaman just because of the wolf run and pet abilities. Basically, you pull one construct back to the arena without killing it and before you get lasered. Drop a pet or some other aggro spell into the arena while you go back into the gauntlet before it resets/gate closes. Once you have aggro you can kill the constructs and everything except one of the original arena adds from the reset while you go up the gauntlet. When near the platform, kill the last add (I leave up the captain, because it has the most health) to start the event. The tricky part is to wait long enough for her to spawn before aggroing/jumping down but before he calls you a weakling and melts your face.

Yeah, I got hit by the lightning thing right at the last second a few times before I figured it out. Few times I went up on the platform beside him, killed the last add, waited until he was attackable and said he'd come after me himself.. then he despawned after jumping in. Arg.

I had applied at some big retail chain whose HQ is a 5 minutes drive from home. It would be perfect to allow me to pick my kid at his nanny and my wife at the train station and completely nullify my transit time (~1h right now).

Glory of the Ulduar Raider (10)! God damn I hate that Iron Dwarf achievement. Probably should have done it with a healer instead of solo.

Soloed ICC 10man normal up to Valithria, then 2-manned the rest. Was really easy. Only real threatening parts were Saurfang (hits hard) and Putricide (when I dropped my Fire Elemental in last phase and the adds could suddenly target me).

I need to come back in a group some time for Full House, Portal Jockey, Once Bitten, and Been Waiting. Got all the other achievements. Not sure if Heroic will be soloable with Saurfang hitting even harder.

lol that is how it always seems to work out in my guilds
one tank is a shield tank, the other is a dk, or bear

cata our tank team was ami as a pally, and me as a bear (it was either bear or warrior, and didnt want to have to fight over plate and shields)
in lurkers we have a pally, me as a dk, and a feral/guardian druid that fills in as needed
