Mount Hyjal killed my laptop :/ 45 minutes of 25 people bombing the shit out of waves of 12+ mobs at a time made it run at temperatures that let the exhaust keep my mug of tea nice and hot.

The game was less demanding at the time. Spell effects were a lot simpler, and people didn't have procs and dots flying everywhere. The computer I had then was a small fraction of what I have now, but it was playable.

Sometimes I do indeed wonder how I got less FPS now with a proper monster pc, than I had 8 years ago with a shit pc in 40 men raids.

they have been tweaking the engine every expansion... like sunshafts were added recently...
