Thinking my post got kinda lost since its a page or two behind. Would appreciate it if someone could take a quick look and see if my toon is heading in the right direction and also some gear advice on the questions I had. Thanks again. Will try and remember to log out in prot gear after dailies.

Any reason why you're going with a mastery serpent eye?
I use my serpent eye's for stamina tbh, but that's just me -- are you comfortable with your stamina? Also, you seem to not be able to decide whether you going for control mastery or control haste. Stick with one... and also lack of enchants, that's what I noticed.
There are other guys that are btter than me at judging gear though.

I am using two stam serpents eyes. And yes, with those two gems, plus two stam trinkets and also being an alchemist, I am very comfortable with my stamina. As for enchants, which ones am I missing?

What items should I upgrade next with VP; I should be close to 3k by the weekend, so I can upgrade 2 items to full.

Not sure where you're at with rep but I'd strongly reccomend that instead of upgrades you grab the liquid courage trinket from SP.
Based on your progression, and if you aren't bothering with rep, I'd suggest upgrading your shield. It will give a considerable amount of armor and the only possible upgrade is the heroic version. You might want to hold off on other upgrades to see what loot you get in the next couple of weeks.
Edit: Or your Relic, it's arguably BiS.

my stam feels ok -- when we wipe is not due to tank death, is mostly because our dps have been standing on the wrong stuff... or the healer ran out of mana cuz they spent it filling up the wrong bars. =P
That's the only reason why I have been holding on the Lao-chi liquid courage trinket, that and I'm still hoping for the BoE trinket from MSV, the other tank won the one that drop.

If you take less damage (the on use) or your damage is easier to heal (a lot more static EH) then the healers might be able to save some of those DPS who aren't standing where they should be.
Also the on use mastery is insanely good for Wind Lord, Grand Empress and Sha and it certainly doesn't hurt for some of the other encounters you're about to be working on.
I think I read somewhere that the two stam trinkets don't "share" a cd but I can't seem to find where atm... If that's the case then having both wouldn't be a bad thing.

Re: Gear Check/Advice Thread (All Specific Advice Requests H
hi i'm currently raiding 10man normal content hence the lack off stam. just wanting someone to check if i'm doing things right. So far i'm trying to stay expertise capped and hit capped then stacking mastery, would it be worthwhile reforging and gaming into haste instead off mastery?
my dps always seems low compared to other tank classes and i'm wondering what i can do to improve it or is pally tank dps generally lower than say dk's or monks?
Thanks in advance for taking the time to have a look for me.

Re: Gear Check/Advice Thread (All Specific Advice Requests H
As a RL in a 10 man, with a paladin tank (and currently tanking myself), I'd say yes, going for haste instead of mastery is definately wortwhile from the dps boost alone - the tanks are 20-25% of the damaging people in a 10 man as opposed to 12% in a 25 man, so the tanks dps matter smore in 10 man, and can actually be key to getting bosses down (especially as the tank will often be the only melee that doesn't have to worry about stuff on the floor)

I'm not that far into the quest, but I understand that you will be able to add a gem slot to your sha-touched weapon. So this one will be better in the long run.

Well, I currently have both weapons, and it's not like I will delete it, just wondering which one is better short term.

I had a similar probem between a gemmed kil'rak and normal Elegion. The last is better at survival, but the DPS boost from Kil'rak is gignormous. Considering I'm in no threat of dying horribly currently, I've been going with Kil'rak until my environment evolves.
