Ya there's that, but there's no way for the raid itself to decide which guy to come second without manually pulling, then leashing it upon a undesirable second guy. If you have a Warlock, they can do it too.

What do you guys use/do to get rid of the shield on Zian? We haven't gotten to see it much, but I believe he has 5 charges right? How does Sleight of Hand work? Can you still attack the guy as long as he's stunned without getting the debuff?

You can definately keep on attacking Meng, while he is stunned. You wont trigger the Sleight of hand debuff. No idea about Zian, we only got him few times, and we tried dispelling.

Also, im taking the opportunity to ask how are you guys dealing with the transition between Qiang and Subetai. There is one point where you would get Anihilate, Flanking and Volley almost at the same time. Is there any "safe" spot in the room? Do you guys stay stacked until qiang dies or do you spread out and ping pong qiang few times until he dies.

It all depends on your DPS. Normally (for us) what happens is Subetai becomes active and starts his volley after one more of Qiangs massive attacks. Because we are all on the same side (so it baits the volley in that direction) we have the entire raid run the opposite direction. We all take one tick of volley, but we always have a safe amount of people to take the next attack from Qiang. From there you have little time before the flanking order. During the flanking orders I simply drag the boss to a safe corner immediately after I see an opening and pop my shield wall and solo soak during that time until the flanking orders ends. When the flanking order ends you will have an Annihilate to which you just start normally soaking with your raid.

At that point you have to kill him quick because his rain of arrows will be going out in roughly 10 seconds.

We typically pop lust when Qiang is at 35%.

Subetai doesn't give the debuff when he's stunned, but be careful with AoE when he first becomes active because it can and does give you the debuff. And you don't want the debuff when you're tanking/soaking Qiangs abilities.

Zians shield has 5 charges. The only abilities you can use through the shield are interrupts. Any traditional dispel works on to get rid of his shield, with Shamans glyphed for purge obviously being the best.

Not started working on this yet, just gathering info. Seems like being able to reset efficiently makes a massive difference to the time you take to learn this - a monk can taunt and transcendence out, a warlock with dark apotheosis can taunt and portal out? There any other ways?

yes, just run out. :)
the wall spawns/gets active several seconds after you see which king activates second. just group up 10-15y inside the room on the side you pull from. you want to be in a corner anyway as the double flanking order means its somewhat pointless to be in the middle for the 1st boss as quite often you have minimal movement in a corner.
then when you want to reset, tank just runs out and it resets. was never a problem for us, you got plenty of time for that.

and yeah, "§$&§$" blizzard for not changing this. so annoying.

Qiang also can't kill totems (Massive Attacks will be used on a totem but it'll do nothing), so if you wanted to, you could just drop him a Totem present, stand near the edge and let him flail until a King is chosen, and if you don't like it, run out and dismiss totem.

wait, wouldn't that mean that you can tank it with a pet all the way? threat shouldn't be a problem these days and pets take 90% less aoe dmg, so massive attack shouldn't be able to kill them?

They screwed with pets just for this fight. Some of the very early kills had pets tanking it but now pets can't taunt bosses iir the patch notes right.

Those patch notes are different. What was happening with the pets was that a pet whose taunt was left on was causing some bosses to DR, especially in conjunction with Stampede, so they made pet taunts (which don't work on bosses anyway) not further the Taunt DR.

Apparently this was hotfixed to always spawn bosses in a specific order?

Yep progressing on it now and always get Qiang -> Sub then the few times we've got further it's been -> Zian -> Meng

Edit: killed it tonight in about 20 pulls always Qiang -> Sub -> Zian -> Meng for us.

it's always surprising how long it takes blizzard to fix the obviously dumb and/or broken stuff. there was even a blue post this week saying 'we don't think its as bad as vizier was, no need to fix it'.

Yeah, not having to deal with the amazingly shitty combo pulls makes this one a lot more palatable. We spent a few hours earlier in the week wishing that order would pop up just once.

We killed it tonight, fixed order makes it lolololololololol.

Two tanked, two heals, six DPS.

Tanks: Monk and Prot pally.

Healer: Holy Pal, resto Sham.

DPS: Fury warrior, Ele sham, Spriest, some sort of rogue, Frost Mage, SV(?) hunter.
