My wondering about if it was stalkerish stems from having just got out of a marriage, so I was used to being with a person every day. I didn't want to move too fast and do something too quickly. Additionally, due to why the marriage ended, there is always that little voice in my head that says if I'm not hearing from her it's because she's with another guy. Stupid, I know, and I can logically refute the 'little voice,' but it means that impartial anonymous opinions help me separate what I think might be crazy from what is actually normal behavior.

This is completely understandable. I have gone down that path before. It was awful. It was terrible. The broken trust bleeds into parts of your life that you never thought would be effected. Being able to logically refute the 'little voice' is a good step in the process of moving beyond what has happened.

I think you are right, Shoju, and I've been trying to get her to find a new roommate, but as with many recipients of verbal/emotional abuse it's hard to break through the wall of 'It isn't that bad' that gets put up.

That is the hardest part. Especially when it is a "friend" and not "Family" that is being abusive. People don't seem to think of relationships with friends being able to exhibit that level of "behavior".

Well we have only been dating almost two months. Also, we both just renewed leases in October, so it would be tricky. Hopefully it will be an option next October.

Oh puhhhhleeeeeeze! Invis and I moved in within two months of meeting IRL and then got married two months later.

I think it's just rust. It has been a long time since I've had to consciously flirt. Obviously doesn't help that the last haircut I had was absolutely atrocious and I had to suffer with it for an extended period due to the stupid bitch clipping my hair WAY too close to my double crown. It's like a month and a half of bad hair days.
