Re: Patch 5.1
Neither do I actually*
*But I do have full dps/tank plate heirloom sets, weapons, both mail sets and both leather sets -- no clothies, I hate clothies.
I was just going for a hyperbole =P

Remember Fear (cower glyph) and Psyfiend, and don't aoe, multidot with SW_P and enjoy the free MB's with .. DI? FDCL? - and the shield for 20% health when hit below 30% and Divine Start for another heal every 20 seconds (along with renew and PoM and the glyph).
Spreisting aoe is a breeze.
I are but a we shadowpriest... only rolled this toon just prior to 5.0, so still learning the tricks..

Re: Patch 5.1
Keybind The AoE fear with the glyph, and have psyfiend up, and just SW:P things and use your free MB's and your other instant things if fighting things like the goats. if things don't move you, feel free to add in some VT and MF (and ofc, when aoeing, use shield andDP on the highest health target, so you get all the ticks if possible).
When health drops below 30% for the second time (with the automatic shield talent at least), pop Vampiric Embrace and see your health go back to 100% - all the SW_P are single targte shadow damage

Re: Patch 5.1
Hmm..
For that glyph, might go ahead and ditch my never used disc spec and setup a second shadow spec for farming. Reminds me need to put Dominate Mind back in my raid spec.
Umm.. Vampiric Embrace.. perhaps I should be posting in the Memo thread...

I don't...
Then again, I don't foresee myself overcapping VP any time soon either.
I think the only way to be getting gobs of JP is to run a lot of heroics or normal 5-mans. If you're doing dailies, raiding and scenarios you only get VP. I'm assuming soloing lvl 85 5-man heroics wouldn't net you JP ?
And I thought you lost carryover JP from cata beyond the 4K cap?
Besides, I buy all my heirlooms with AT tokens

Re: Patch 5.1
Arg. Do I keep saving VP for a helm, or start upgrading my gear? Do I upgrade gear early, or wait until I have better gear to upgrade? Too many options!

Re: Patch 5.1
My impression is that the upgrading gear option is more for the heroic raiders who have got some nice drops and for whom VP gear starts to look weak. It does not seem very cost effective for people who are still gearing up for raiding - i.e. for whom VP gear is the best they have. The new rep grinds have higher ilevel rings and boots, so I'll try to save up my VPs for them first.

Indeed, upgrade your best item first.
(Upgraded items are really gonna screw with the reforging tools...

Re: Patch 5.1
forgive my lack of knowledge... but is there a raid tier releasing with this patch, or will it come along later? Any new 5-mans or scenarios? I haven't been able to find much in the way of summaries beyond a few tidbits about upgrades and rep changes.
Maybe it's me being slow, but it seems like HoF and TES just dropped (but then again, people have already cleared it)

Re: Patch 5.1
There's no new raid, a couple new faction specific scenarios, and that's it.

The new offensive factions, Brawler's guild, gear upgrading, no groups needed to go into old raids, pets from old raid bosses, nerfs/buffs, about 150 new hunter rare pets (but not high level ones, all old world stuff, and no spirit beasts), and... I think that's it.

offensive factions? bring on the racism/sexism!
