Pfeh! 16-bits is where it's at.
NO-ONE who played it forgot the first time they hit power:

and its successor http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rV1wgR7ooVs
Testing. Yep, still getting goosebumps.

I have to agree with Sagara. 8-bit is definitely cool, but 16-bit added just enough variation to let the music stand on their own legs, in my opinion. I can listen to the music just to listen to the music, whereas with most 8-bit tunes it's usually limited to a few minutes for nostalgia.

Think as far as 8-bit ringtones go, I'd probably try to find one of "entering a battle" from pokemon.

GEt the entire soundtrack, or at least check it out on Youtube - that game was one of the marvels of the SNES. I played its successor around when the Playstation 2 came out, because, it's. just. that. good.

So...uh... I was going to try to find the Ballad of the Wind Fish from Link's Awakening... and got lost on youtube.
I did however manage to find something stupid, awesome, and amusing all at the same time:
http://www.youtube.com/user/Sp0ntanius
My particular favorites so far are the Song of Healing and Saria's Song (though it's a tad short)...

Listening to the WoW Insider show and them doing a bad impersonation of Voljin -- he sounded scottish, which was hilarious as hell.

Re: Post Your Amusements!
We found a nice little "Horde" of collectible patches from the late 1980's at work from a popular toy manufacturer. I'm pretty excited to see the price they are fetching on ebay, and I look forward to making some good money off of them. Here's hoping that our little horde doesn't crash the market on them...

We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

The irony in the idea that a gun store taking away your right to purchase a firearm because you voted for the most pro gun democract in recent history is absolutely hilarious.

Just as ironic as my "racist" 94-year old father who would voted for "the black guy" instead of "the mormon".

Alright, someone brought it up again today and my searching hasn't pulled anything up. So maybe one of you nurds has it saved.
I'm looking for an old comic that depicts two Molten Core Bosses talking, one gets pulled away by a hunter pet and the other keeps talking cause he doesn't notice. He then goes on for a moment until the hunter pet comes back and he goes off chasing it.
