No, he can't get fired! Then the Chargers might win, and I'd have to suffer more!

I saw this picture this morning and figured Shoju would get a laugh out of it.

As someone who lives in Alabama, but is not from Alabama (and thus has no loyalty to Auburn/Alabama), I find Alabama losing and Auburn having a terrible season hilarious.

They suck royally with Sanchez, might as well start Tebow, that would at least electrify the fans for a while -- just like it happened with the Broncos last season.
Fun Fact:
Seattle's starting wide receivers have both thrown more TD passes than Tebow this year.

Considering he's only been allowed 6 passing attempts, that's not surprising.
On the other side, the Chicago defense has scored almost as many touchdowns as Sanchez has thrown (8 to 10).

Re: All about sports
Actually I'm wrong - I thought Sydney Rice threw a TD pass, but it was only a 25-yard completion. So only one starting receiver (Tate) has thrown more TDs than Tebow. And while Tebow has only thrown 6 passes, Tate has only thrown 1.

That stat also makes him look a lot better than sanchez, considering that Sanchez has a 50% completion average, and 10 tds in 294 passes.

Re: All about sports
No doubt Sanchez is sucking this year, but some of that has to do with the distractions around him, Holmes being out and.. oh hell I can't do that with a straight face - Sanchez really is bad. Jets blew another first-round pick and really need to stop listening to Mel Kiper on draft day.
Seahawks got hammered by Kiper this last draft, but our first-rounder has 7 sacks, our 2nd-rounder calls our defense and leads the team in tackles, and our 3rd-rounder looks like quite a promising QB.
Last time the team took a Kiper-approved pick was Aaron Curry, who was almost as good as Vernon Gholston.

My mother could draft better than Jerry Jones and Mel Kiper combined, even though she cannot tell Dez Bryant and DeMarcus Ware apart.
And with the season already lost, might as well experiment.
From reports around the NFL, the Vick era is pretty much over. Reid is starting Foles for the rest of the season and see if he can salvage his own job by trying to make Foles look good.
Which is why I say, might as well go with Tebow -- can't be as bad as Sanchez.

Re: All about sports
Someone needs to step in. I'm just not sure who could. I don't think the Florida Legislature has the ability to do anything, and I'm not sure that the fans could actually sue him, but I think MLB needs to step in.
This was a joke from the beginning of the season. He has bled the city for a new stadium. Maybe it's time the city let it sit empty. I would feel bad for the players who end up getting jobbed and playing in an empty stadium, but what else can you do? Don't show up to games, Don't buy his merch (not that you would be buying to many jerseys of the new marlins), It's about the only way to hurt his bottom line.

Re: All about sports
I'll just toss my frustration in here instead of putting a sports frustration in the normal frustration thread.
A high school friend has killer club seats on the 35 yard line season tickets (Browns). Due to a promotion at work, he is unable to use them the rest of the season and is offering them up to friends at a serious discount, just so they don't go to waste.
My frustration?
The one game that I could even remotely defend dropping the cash to take my family to see, is not a home game. Dammit man.

This is ridiculous. The Commissioner should intervene and pretty much remove Loria from day to day operations!

And in the process, the only remaining "star caliber" player on the team is FURIOUS
The City of Miami is pissed
The fans (what are left of them) are coming to terms with their depression
And the MLB just sits there. Silent.

The thing is, people that have followed baseball for at least 20 years are not surprised by this -- seeing how Loria did exactly the same in the 90s to the Expos.
Meanwhile, the club owners cockblock Cuban because he's too hip

Oh trust me, I'm not surprised. I've never quite understood how MLB has handled the situation. Ruins one team? GREAT! Let's GIVE HIM ANOTHER ONE.
They are afraid of Cuban. They are afraid of his money. They are afraid of his ideas. They are afraid of his mouth. The MLB is like a "Old Boys Club" for rich idiots.

Speaking of Cuban and baseball...http://www.sportsradiokjr.com/pages/mel ... e=10524965
Cuban actually did respond to the competition about that song and basically said that he and baseball isn't going to happen, and he's done trying.

All true, but at some point these old farts are going to die off, and the remainder will realize they need guys like Cuban because otherwise they get McCourts and Lorias, guys who are trying to buy their way into the old school. They need to recruit the new school of rich guys.
