Re: Daily LOLCats :: The OFFICIAL sticky.
A cat problem I never thought I would have. We've been going on a walk through the neighborhood, the cat walks with us, the whole way. I normally wouldn't have a problem with this, but we have to turn around instead of going all the way around because we don't want to lead the cat into the main road.

The Heisenberger Bathtub at the Niels Bohr Institute in Copenhagen (where Heisenberg supposedly thought up the uncertainty principle while visiting during WWII)

Re: Random Picture Post
Is'nt "er" the correct ending to prop onto a name for indicating a naming convention? like New Yorker?
But sure, "the Heisenberg Bathtub"
*cough and I certainly did write it correctly in the parenthesis*

Re: Random Picture Post
In this case, I'd say no. "-er" indicates belonging to a set or group (i.e., "someone who lives in New York", or "raider" for "someone who raids"). But describing the bathtub seems to call for a possessive, as it's one of a kind. For example, "The Lindbergh Baby."
<edit> Unless, of course, nobody observed him in the bathtub when he came up with the theory, in which case he may have been in a superposition of different bathtubs, and this could just be one of many Heisenberger bathtubs!

Re: Random Picture Post
From what the professor showing us around said, I'd say that he was not observed in the bathtub.
(interesting .. lecture I gues I should call it.. on the effects of Higgs on mass - what I got from it was, that by the theories (one of the relativity theories, he wasn't specific, non students that we were) the only reason we have mass is because of the Higgs.
