It's not just the TdF that is an issue, it is the entire sport. I'd not be shocked if cycling is the most doped sport out there.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

Farce or not, watching guys climb Mt. Ventoux, Alpe d'Huez, and Col du Tourmalet is inspiring. When you see doped up freaks of nature literally crack, it makes for good entertainment. Watching guys get out of their saddle and rocket down the last 200m at 60+ kmph is cool.
One day races like Paris-Roubaix are even more cool when it's the cyclist against the cobblestone. Generally, the cobblestones win with some horrific crashes
That's what it is to me at this point. It's a good story with a bit of human drama in it. You have your villains, your hero, your highs and lows.
Plus, Phil Liggett and Paul Sherwen are great sports commentators.
Cycling has always been a doped sport. It goes all the way back to guys doing amphetamines and other "uppers" on race day. Take it for what it is, a way to see some beautiful scenery of France and light entertainment.

Pro Wrestling is also considered entertainment. It's just not considered sport. Cycling needs to decide which it is.

Every time that commercial for that TDF training bike comes on I always wonder if a years worth of PEDs is included in the purchase price

It's still real to me, dammit!

Well at least with Wrestling everyone already knows they're all using steroids.

On one hand Baltimore making the playoffs is amazing and even losing a series makes this a season no one expected.
On the other hand fuck the Yankees.

Triple agree. I can't stand the Yankees. Their fandom's smug B.S. drives me about as crazy as the Kansas Jayhawk fans around here.
