My favorite notes from the 5.1 PTR notes
* Battle Pet tooltips will now display whether a pet is owned, and how many pets of that type are owned.
* Pet Quality is now displayed in battles, and will be visible on portraits, names and tooltips.
* The level of battle pets in a zone can now be seen on the map, and it’s now possible to see the strength of wild pets relative to your team at a glance.

We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

Blizzard posting about the D3 1.0.5 patch on the Diablo fan page on Facebook and deleting every negative comment in the thread.
I don't know whether to find it funny or sad.

Re: Post Your Amusements!
I have been amused with the unability of people for understanding sarcasm/trolling even on their native language and on Vent.
For two days we have a group of "25men raid are srsbsn" lovers trolling the "Paragon Rulez" lovers... There were no flamming or hostility nor i want to bring the discussion here.
But when you hear some (in fact several) poor guy(s) who is(are) giddy with Paragon's World First try explain for 10/15minutes and repeat "ad astra" that:
"No, Paragon didn't stop raiding"
"Yes, they still consider 10men as raids"
"Yes, there are other 10men raiders guilds competing"
"No, it isn't called third World's world first"
"No, i don't know who was "Scarlet halls" World first"
Some of the times one of our officers (Paragon fanatic) had to step in to end the trolls.

Slapping down Sha of Anger with a lot of cross realm people that play on pve servers... They neeeeever saw the horde comming, while everyone from Spinebreaker (EU) just turned around and killed them before they could do harm ^^ Best mix to do it really. The pve people just killed the boss while the pvpers kept the horde at bay and helped out on the adds, great mix

I'd think if you are going to level as prot you'd realize you basically have to kill groups of 3+ (preferably more like 5+, since a plate DPS can probably handle 3 of most mobs at level) to get done anywhere near reasonably fast. That or snag someone who can do better DPS... like a disc priest

Me, another tank and a DPS from my guild did theramore last night - whoever got there first got to tank and do reasonable DPS

That said, I think at the pre-heroic gear levels we are at they make for a fun survival test... seems like you shouldn't be anywhere near in trouble health-wise through a pull if you are doing it right but neither should you have to use all your cooldowns.

I didn't mind, it was actually a great load of fun. First up we got was the Arena, and while I got a nice staff, I'm making my BoA staff tomorrow

Same here. And actually, it wasn't as bad as everyone said it was going to be. I was the first 90 in my guild and one of the early 90's for my server. It took me 2.5 days to level to 90 doing mostly quests for 2 of those days and doing mining/fishing/cooking/exploring for the other half day roughly. I'm sure DPS do it much faster, but the majority of the early DPS took around 1.5 to 2 days on my server (the server firsts were all towards the end of day 1). Nothing was terribly slow to kill except for the rare elites and some of the stuff in Dread Wastes. Everything else flowed well enough to where I didn't feel bored.
