Re: What seal with the 10.3.12 hotfix?
I took a look at raidbot for some clue about protection dps and I am quite disappointed about our situation. DK dps is first pretty much in every fight by far (10%) and paladin is at best in 3rd position. Since tank dps do matter, we're not in a good spot.

Just go ahead and also look on the healing charts

It's nice to help healing, but unless there is an Anub'Arak fight or you can spare a healer, it is meaningless.

Does wrath have a cast time for Prot, or is it given to us as instant cast?

It has a cast time. 2.0s(modified by Seal of Insight and other sources of haste), 850 mana cost, dealing 13,794 + 140% of AP in damage.
It really makes for pretty solid damage if you've got even a bit of Vengeance.

hmmm,
That makes it problematic as that can open you up to taking a lot more damage if you are the tank being hit at the time (no dodge/parry/block while casting). I haven't done any of the raid encounters yet though, so there might be uses for it.

Yeah I think most of the time it won't be worth it (which is probably as it should be - who wants to lose tons of effective DPS any time a druid's not around to cast Symbiosis, or when someone else needs to get Symbiosis instead?). But it's got situational uses for sure.

Symbiosis hotfixed. We now get Rebirth instead of Wrath. Fun nerfed.

It was way to overpowered as a tank just doing fulltime dps on some fights with damage dealing abilities you can use CDs for to survive.

So a paladin in a 10 man will never get Symbiosis.

Depends. I tought about that, and the big risk with having only a druid, is that you may not have another Brez available. A symbyosed Paladin can cover that up.
Then again you'd need 1 druid, 0 DK, 0 Warlock and 0 Hunters. Pretty rare, even in a 10-man.

We have a resto druid, a warlock and a death knight in our 10man
And don't the cooldowns on battle rezzes reset on wipe?
