So I killed Sha of Anger for the first time, and the ret legs dropped. Despite the set bonus being useless to me, the stats are decent. However... take a look what they look like:

Logged a bug report, since apparently everyone in my guild sees the bug as well.

Yeah, I noticed the same thing the other day when inspecting them via AtlasLoot. Haven't had time to log onto the forums and do a bug report, though.

I had exactly the same thing happen.

Killed Sha in prot spec, got ret legs (I don't even have a ret spec), plus they look like T13.

Put in a ticket, ticket has just vanished - not even recorded on their status system. Hopefully at this point it's a known bug and something will be done about it.

Ditto. So I guess it just has the chance to drop a piece of tier, regardless of your spec or offspec.

I ended up logging a bug report in game.

Yeah, I just wasn't sure how the bag thing worked (for pve gear) since I haven't done LFR. I was curious as to whether or not the loot in the bag took into account your current spec or offspec.

Won two items in actual raid in beta and both were for the spec in use, might have been chance, or could be that proper raids give you spec gear while world bosses behave like the pvp bosses they are and give any random piece of gear that you can equip.

Killed Sha once and I was spec'd protection on my warrior and received the tier protection gloves.

Sha is suppose to be like LFR loot from what I understood, and LFR loot is not specc specific.
Unless theres a bluepost confirming its only suppose to give you what you are currently specced at (that i missed) I see no reason to think its not the same system.
For using the coins however, people are saying that IS specc specific, and so far none i know have gotten loot for the "wrong" specc in that, but Im still not convinced.
Maybe it has higher chance to be your specc, maybe it always had we just didnt think about it.

From testing, the extra roll from the charm snapshots the spec you were in at the time of the kill, and either awards gold or loot for that spec.

I was really leery about using my extra loot roll on Sha since I wasn't sure if it would spit out PvP gear for me if the extra roll won. I opted not to use my extra rolling thingy.

Same here. Saving them for raids. Though speaking of loot on the Sha, I had no idea there was a quest item and didn't loot one.

you have to manually loot it, I know many who either forgot about it, or couldnt loot it cause the item was "busy", since 40people trying to loot at once.
However it should drop every time untill youve completed it.

Using gold coins on sha can be a big gamble, since it can give you everything from PvP loot to tier, tier however wont be available for another 4weeks, so its very tempting to use them now on sha, but I think its going to be a lot more usefull in heroic raids, using on a boss you are missing a significant item from.

From what I've read, the charms give you a "small but not miniscule" chance at extra gear. Is that right? Because reading some posts, it sounds like several of you got lucky or is the chance not so small?

It's a pretty solid chance in a normal raid. My guess is that it's a lower chance on world bosses and Heroic raids, but higher in LFR. We won't really be able to tell unless they say so or the wowhead client finds a way to collect the relevant effective drop rates.
