Is there a "Me-style" FAQ for MoP yet?
I see Theck's off and running with his MatLab thread and it turns out I am planning to raid in Pandas & Pickachus.
I can't see a Knaughty-style FAQ anywhere - has someone done one?

Nice to see you back knaughty, I always enjoyed reading your posts when I was starting out as a tank

WB knaughty!
Theck and Klaud have mostly been busy with number crunching right now.
When was the last time you played? I could try a quick Cliff's notes.

theckhd's 5.0.4 roundup on his blog is the closest I've seen:
http://sacredduty.net/2012/08/27/patch-5-0-4-round-up/
It would be good to have something like that stickied here.

About two months ago.
Working my way through the patch irritations now. Optimiser stuck at 0%....

Re: Is there a "Me-style" FAQ for MoP yet?
Known issue: if the process is running, it's progressing, but you don't see it. I had the same back when.
You won't have much to catch up to. Here's a few headlines:
HOLY POWER: now caps at 5, only 3 can be used at a time. Mastery enhances both our block, ShotR (directly), and WoG (indirectly).
ShotR is now our biggest tool for tanking - an off-the-GCD physical damage reduction, that gives a stacking boost to the next WoG. WoG is off the GCD for us too and becomes more of an "oh crap" button.
Also, CS got a longer CD (4.5sec) and Jugement (sic) produces HoPo (GCrusader procs still give HoPo)
ROTATION
CS and J are still the big ones, as are GCrus procs. Consec is now a big hitter on a rather short CD.
The big one: HotR places Weakened Blows (think thunderclap), and is STILL on the same CD as CS, so you'll need to weave an HotR every 30 secs to keep the debuff up.
OTHER SKILLS
SoT for single target, SoR for AoE
We lost Righteous Defense, so we're stuck with one single-target taunt every 8 sec. We lost Exo, Divine Plea and bunch other things, but nothing critical.
Auras are gone, Blessing of Might now grants a Mastery buff. Divine Protection grants 40% magic reduction baseline (can be glyphed for 20/20 physical/magic).
GLYPHS
Less important now, you could technically run without glyphs and not gimp yourself. Still a few strong choices out there like Focused Shield or Alabaster Shield.
TALENTS
Completely revamped. PIck one out of three every 15 levels. Very easy to swap (use a dust, like for glyphs). There's some debate for a couple of tiers, but Speed of Light (and Pursuit of Justice to a lesser extent) in Tier 1, Sacred SHield in Tier 3, Unbreakable Spirit in Tier 4 and Holy Avenger in Tier 5 are popular choices.
WTF HAS BLIZZ BEEN SMOKING? (obligatory)
Whatever is was, I want some. Nobody knows, don't bother asking.
OTHER MECHANICS
Vengeance is now uncapped, you can stand in the fire for more dps as tank! Seriously, tank damage looks insane right now, which means that tank swapping becomes a headache. Keep HoSalv handy.
That looks like the big things.
EDIT- F*ck!
GEAR
Theck struck once again. We got two basic approaches: TDR or smoothness.
TDR will stack Parry and Dodge for passive defenses, while a smoother approach abuses ShotR and uses a strong synergy between Mastery, Hit/Expertise and to a lesser extend, Haste (?!).
Hit/Exp are soft capped at 7.5%, Exp is hardcapped at 15%.
Relics are gone, and Head enchants are gone as well. Shoulders enchants are made by Scribes now.

Re: Is there a "Me-style" FAQ for MoP yet?
Gave up on fucktastic optimiser after an hour at 0%. There is nothing sensible that the optimiser could be doing that should take an hour. Quad-core, 16 gig ram, SSD drive. Optimiser using no CPU and doing no disk access.
I could use the 20 gig back anyway - my WoW folder was at 46 gig and a clean install should only take ~23 gig. I have 100 Mbit internet and a 500 gig cap so downloading it again is an acceptable way to get my 20 gig back.
I'm reading through Theck's notes and I've sent an email to Rhidach. I may end up writing a 5.0-MoP FAQ this weekend, since there doesn't seem to be one here and Theck's busy with Matlab.

What happens to my kick-ass relic collection?!
The slot is actually gone, I take it?

indeed it is, all the relics are now grey-quality items, that has 1 use; vendoring - though you could keep it as a museum of mementos I guess

Not a good sign.

Haven't seen much of Rhid apart from his weekly Wow Insider colomn (which is also an excellent source, btw, maybe I should have linked to it instead).
If you want an extra pair of hands for the FAQ, just PM me, I'll write something up while I'm bored on the Turkish beaches next week

I'll keep my warlock's Black Book, as perhaps the best example of why the slot was deleted....

Theck pointed me at it - I've tossed him n email asking for permission to crib some of his stuff (which I think is mostly sourced from Theck anyway, and I have Theck's permission)

Oh my God, did you get caught in the riot?
In other news, that song was big in Australia, and Belgium is the only place I've been to in Europe....
PS: Kriek is awesome. Wish I could get it downunder. We can get a few different Trappist beers, including Chimay, but no kriek.
