Borderlands 2

Postby Fivelives » Sun Jun 03, 2012 9:23 pm

God I hope this game lives up to the hype. I love the original - everything about Pandora just screams "fully fleshed out world" to me, from the flavor text you get to the art style and inhabitants.

Anyone else looking forward to it?

No, I am not looking forward to it at all........ because if I do it will be a steaming pile.

Last one was 99% brilliant, just hope they do a good ending this time!

ME3 has put the whole "bad ending" thing into perspective. Or maybe it's just set the bar so high that I'd consider one of the old NES "A Winnar is You" ending screens to be absolutely brilliant.

Yeah, it just kind of ended. I didn't really mind it all that much though. Even so, Borderlands is one of the few games on my shelf that's not backlogged. Out of the 60some games I own, I think I've only finished 8 or 10 of them.

I never could get into Borderlands :(

I think it's because I always felt like its one of those games thats only fun when you play coop. My GF at the time I had the game didn't like it and my friends had already beaten it so I was stuck playing solo and was just not enjoying it. :|

Strangely, I like it better solo than I do Co-Op. That's probably because I like to spend strangely large amounts of hours just looking at stuff, and making sure everything I have is organized and optimized before I fight even the easiest of skags.

Much the same for me, although in my case it was due to lining up the perfect sniper shot on each target and then firing so I could just slide from one to the next and headshot them all. In Co-op people kept wanting to run off ahead and aggro ALL THE THINGS!

Though I'm thinking i'll try the new one more co-op if I can find people to give it a go.

One of these days, I will remember to hit quote instead of edit when replying to someone! Damned mod powers >.<

But yeah, at least for a first-playthrough for me. The "kill ALL THE THINGS" approach seems to take away from the story/etc for me.
