Boss Health Frame
I know that the base UI has a boss health frame right under the map in the upper right hand corner
what i was wondering though is:
is there a way to move that frame?
either through an addon or a ui option
it is rather annoying seeing it pop up right where my Elkano's Buff Bars wants to be, so i have moved my EBB over but looks like crap
can anyone help?

Re: Boss Health Frame
Do you use DBM? You can set boss health frames in there and it movable. Also significantly smaller.
Thinking about it, I haven't seen the boss health frame under the map in a very long time - wonder if I disabled it somewhere.

i do use DBM and have that health frame moved
but unless there is an option i have un/selected they only show up on certain bosses (spine with the healing debuff, council fights, etc)

Re: Boss Health Frame
There's a tick box to show boss health frame in the options for each boss in dbm.
I swear it resets half the time though, I gave up with trying to use dbm to show boss frames and used shadow unit frames before I switched to ElvUI after the patch.

hmmm
might have to try out shadow unit frames
i use pitbull, and there isnt an option for boss health if not target, target of target, or target of target of target
(and i am NOT setting that last one up)

Haha

I spent many hours during WotLK trying to set pitbull up, after almost throwing the pc out the window several times I vowed to never go near the frustrating thing again. I've gone ElvUI now as I'm trying to cut down on the number of addons I use, but if all you want is unit frames I think SUF is a fair bit easier to get how you want.

Re: Boss Health Frame
I liked pitbull, the only reason I stopped using it was that they ended support for the party and raid frames, keeping them in the addon but disabling all the preview modes so you couldn't really work on them. Tried Shadowed UF and thought it lacked features (specifically regarding totems (think maybe you couldn't right click to cancel on their icons?), but other things too). Been on Stuf since - the only thing missing is timers by the totem icons. Boss health bars I just get from DxE.

Unsure about that, I only ever used SuF for Player, Target, Focus, and Boss frames, I had healbot for raid frames.

Re: Boss Health Frame
well i have grid for raid frames, but pitbull had an indicator of incoming heals in
it helped in raids to know when my target was getting healed by another healer and was getting enough to top off so i could use a smaller heal or heal someone else

Re: Boss Health Frame
Healbot always showed incoming heals for me hence I never really looked for it in SuF, but I'd be surprised if there isn't a way to do it in SuF.
I'm quite liking ElvUI now, the buffs/debuffs are a pain to set up, I think it's worth the hassle as it's replacing at least 7 addons in one go for me, so less chance of conflicts.

You can set Grid up so that it shows incoming heals

suf options -> unitframe you want to edit -> bars tab -> enable 'incoming heals'

Re: Boss Health Frame
I run Stuf Unit Frames.
http://www.wowinterface.com/downloads/i ... rames.html
I've used it for years, and love all the options it has available. Want to keep things simple? no problem, the base version works quite well.
For Boss mods, You can place them where ever you want and make them extraordinarily complex, or very simple, the choice is yours.

This was pretty much my reaction this week, after switching to get boss frames (default blows, DBM's boss frame doesn't work for me, Pitbull lacks that feature).
