Re: Darksiders II
Haha he does kinda have that quality. I liked War but I like Death so much better thus far. Maybe it's just the whole Scythe thing, but he seems to have more of a "I'm the grim fuckin reaper, the pale rider of death. I don't give a FUCK if you don't wanna help me, I will MAKE you help me." And that's clearly evident from the start. I love it

It's not just that he has the quality. It's the same voice actor. At least, the same as the one from BC. For WC3 it was someone else.
I'm pretty convinced I'm going to get this, but I intend to wait and grab it right before I head out for Afghanistan, so I'm not tempted to play it now when I still have other things I need to take care of.

So, picked up II. It's pretty damned good. Playing it off and on here at Camp Atterbury as I wait to fly downrange. While the first one came off as God of War meets Zelda with Warcraft aesthetics, this one comes off as Prince of Persia meets Zelda while playing as Skeletor. PoP particularly as far as the wall running/climbing. I like it a lot.

Really didn't care for the level where you assemble the rod. 3rd person shooter is not something this game excels at. At least the music would let me know when the next wave was headed at me. I just feel that being swarmed every 3 steps is a bit much.

Outside of those bosses. I'd just drop the guns and fight like I did the rest of the game!

The final battle was extremely anti-climactic. Especially after the three before it. Though, the one in the White City was straight up Portal/GlaDOS.

Yeah I wasn't a huge fan of the ending. Luckily I loved the rest of the game! Haha

It was a better boss fight than Marauder Shields. I'll leave it at that.

Haha I think of him every time I see a Marauder with a shield in B2.
