Re: A Call to Arms - MoP Mechanics Testing
Also, for future reference: when putting in the tick values for EF, just give me the min. Putting in a one-point range screws up my sophisticated "copy from spreadsheet and paste into MATLAB" data entry technique (because "405-406" turns into "-1")

Re: A Call to Arms - MoP Mechanics Testing
WoG data confirms %-based scaling with PvP power, also confirms that WoG's heal matches the EF base heal formula.
WoG minimum heal:
WoG max heal:
EF min heal:
EF max heal:
EF tick:
Given that the tick is a fixed amount, that gives us our best estimate of the true value (all of the other data sets are subject to variances in the min and max values). We can comfortably say that the PvP power scale factor is between 265.3 and 266.3, with a best estimate of 265.8.
In other words, every 265.8 PvP power increases the effectiveness of your healing by 1%.
WoG minimum heal:
- Code: Select all
General model:
f(x,y) = (4030+0.377*x)*(1+0.01*y/a)
Coefficients (with 95% confidence bounds):
a = 263.9 (263.2, 264.6)
Goodness of fit:
SSE: 478.2
R-square: 1
Adjusted R-square: 1
RMSE: 5.304
WoG max heal:
- Code: Select all
General model:
f(x,y) = (4491+0.377*x)*(1+0.01*y/a)
Coefficients (with 95% confidence bounds):
a = 267.2 (265.7, 268.7)
Goodness of fit:
SSE: 2600
R-square: 1
Adjusted R-square: 1
RMSE: 12.37
EF min heal:
- Code: Select all
General model:
f(x,y) = (4030+0.377*x)*(1+0.01*y/a)
Coefficients (with 95% confidence bounds):
a = 263.7 (262.9, 264.5)
Goodness of fit:
SSE: 664.6
R-square: 1
Adjusted R-square: 1
RMSE: 6.252
EF max heal:
- Code: Select all
General model:
f(x,y) = (4491+0.377*x)*(1+0.01*y/a)
Coefficients (with 95% confidence bounds):
a = 266.3 (263.3, 269.3)
Goodness of fit:
SSE: 1.05e+004
R-square: 0.9999
Adjusted R-square: 0.9999
RMSE: 24.85
EF tick:
- Code: Select all
General model:
f(x,y) = (391+0.045*x)*(1+0.01*y/a)
Coefficients (with 95% confidence bounds):
a = 265.8 (265.3, 266.3)
Goodness of fit:
SSE: 2.872
R-square: 1
Adjusted R-square: 1
RMSE: 0.411

Re: A Call to Arms - MoP Mechanics Testing
By the way, did you have a log where Execution Sentence missed? I vaguely remember you posting that it was a binary hit/miss on cast, I just wanted to see the log that confirmed it.

Yeah, this log shows two misses as well:

Confirms that ES is binary hit/miss on cast.

Re: A Call to Arms - MoP Mechanics Testing
I think the next test we should do is a combination of #21 and #38. Basically, do #38, but use a weapon enchanted with Windsong and cast HPr as a filler when possible.
We should also try and nail down Hammer of Wrath (#27). This should be pretty easy with L85 pre-mades, so we can coordinate a time in the next day or so and I'll make an 85 DK on horde side for you to beat on.

Re: A Call to Arms - MoP Mechanics Testing
I'll see what I can do, I got raid at 9pm central tonight -- but I have enough free time between 6pm central and 8pm central -- the dk thing shouldn't be too hard or take too long, right?
Either way, I got the night off tomorrow, so I'm available any time after 5:30 pm central

Re: A Call to Arms - MoP Mechanics Testing
The DK testing shouldn't take more than half an hour, I'd guess. I have to head out for a few hours, but I'll be back by 3 or 4 Eastern at the latest. I'm sure I can be around for the majority of that 6-8 PM (5-7PM Eastern) window.
