The more the better. But I think that at this point, we already trust the tooltip, so we're just confirming that our data is in the right ballpark. I'd say do ~10 casts in a couple gear sets (naked, #7, and one or two in-between). You could take CS/EF data at the same time.

Is EF still worth testing? Unless I am mistaken its a worthless talent for us since it replaces WoG, but doesnt interact with BoG at all, or did they reverse their stance on that?

It's meant to interact with Bastion for the instant heal portion but not the HoT, meaning you don't lose anything of WoG by taking it.

Ok, that wasnt something I found clear by GCs comments, but makes more sense.

The direct heal still interacts with BoG (or did, at any rate). The HoT does not (or should not, according to blue posts).

Either way, the point of testing it is to determine whether it's of any use to us. Gather the facts, and then come to a conclusion based on those facts, rather than come to a conclusion and decide to skip the facts as a result.

Yeah, I was quite mistaken on the mechanics behind EF, so that clarification definitely helped. I assume since Tier isnt yet available that we do not know if the 4pc will buff EF either.

Yeah, we probably won't be able to test that until release, I'm afraid.

Apparently, if the first tick misses of Execution Sentence, the whole thing misses for the duration of the ability

I can't remember this being the case before... i could be wrong though.

I think I found out what's going on --- I'm using the pvp sets and apparently, the pvp power does affect the scale of some spells in PVE AND they changed my static strength trinkets into on use trinkets, therefore set #7 is not viable anymore...

FFFUUUU

Example
Crusader Strike, Censure and Seal of Truth for SET 6 and SET 7 is about the same (~3153, ~4581, ~287) but my Eternal Flames are different for both sets; the difference being about 2466 PVP Power.

Please advice on how to proceed

Basically, ignore PVP gear entirely. If that means we only have 6 sets to work from, that's fine. I'd just toss all PvP gear for testing purposes.

If you have to adjust the sets, that's fine, we don't need to use the same AP values as previous builds. If you've already taken data, just give me the PvP power values too.

Actually, that may be something to check. If PVP power gives us a healing benefit, and it's free itemization, we might be inclined to wear PvP gear. So it'd be good to know how PvP gear affects healing.

Klaudandus wrote:How do you calculate ES?

I was summing the total damage done per cast in each gear set. Since we're just trying to confirm an existing formula, the mean value should be fine.

As long as there's no overkill, it should be as simple as taking the total damage done by ES (as given by WoL) and dividing by the number of casts.

I have to run some errands this afternoon, but I'll try and take a look at the data this evening.

all my testing gear is pvp, it allowed me to have the most str per piece of gear more often than not, which was useful considering that the only thing i log into the beta for is get the logs, i have no access to any other gear since i havent had time to do any dungeons, dailies nor raids...
