To summarize the last three posts :
  • DS - 1 PPM
  • EF unaffected by Weak.Armor/Phys.Vuln, affected by global modifiers (AW/TotT); uses spell crit
  • CS/HotR/J/AS confirmed as triggers for DEs

To do :
1. #3 with 1-HoPow SotR and 1-HoPow WoG. Only test WS.
2. #6 with Magic.Vuln debuff class (bring a Rogue to poison the target, or a Warlock to cast CoElements on it).
3. #21. Test it with WS, not HS.

"1-HoPow SotR" can't we only cast SotR with 3 HoPow now?

Judgement is once again a melee attack that has a 30-yard range. (Yes, re-read that to make sure you didn’t misread it...)

Edit: Judgement is also spelled Judgment now. The developers are playing nasty tricks on me to make sure I'm awake. :)

I'm back from a self-imposed 4-day internet-less hiatus (I spent most of the last 4 days in the garage building a new desk), so I'm going to try and catch up with the testing today.

tlitp, I'll update the tests to reflect your summary. Do we still need to test proc triggers for each enchant individually? Also, are there any other changes to the front page you want me to make?

Yep.

Just saw this last night - is it live on beta yet, or is this a "next beta patch" change?

Schroom wrote:So if I get this right, it applies Censure again?

Not guaranteed. Seals/Censure are a separate flag they can toggle independently for each attack, so we'll have to test it to confirm once we have that build on beta.

Seems to be a next beta change, just like the Sanctity of Battle change

q:Sanctity of Battle and Spell Haste

a:The intent is that Sanctity of Battle is based on melee haste instead of spell haste but we are waiting on a code change for that.

Neither Judgment nor Avenger's Shield apply Censure as of 2 minutes ago.

HotR data as of today's build 15929

Also did Judgment and AS on cd, that should tell you whether it procs the seal or not.

Gonna try doing 100 Judgement before going to bed...

Judgment now applies Censure.
Avenger's Shield does not apply censure

edit: am trying to find some testing dummies with nobody near them to make sure it wasn't the application of the snare from Burden of Guilt.

edit2: Not only does Judgment apply Censure, it can be dodged, blocked and parried by training dummys (see cleaner combat log). Got to love getting the data one needs within a minute of starting testing (although attacking a level 93 dummy with a zero hit, zero expertise level 85 must help)

yeah, I made myself a human paladin level 85 because they spawn in EK and not Kalimdor. but darnassus city is online (took me ages to find the training dummies there)

The miss data for the naked judgment set you were asking.

Odd. Here's the fit to the physical component:
Code: Select all
General model:
     f(x) = 0.6507*(a*x+b)
Coefficients (with 95% confidence bounds):
       a =         0.2  (0.2, 0.2)
       b =    -0.02861  (-0.08205, 0.02483)

Goodness of fit:
  SSE: 0.0002223
  R-square: 1
  Adjusted R-square: 1
  RMSE: 0.01054

You might say, "that's not so odd." Until I tell you that I had to fit it using normalized weapon damage (it used un-normalized weapondamage before). Minor DPS nerf on the physical portion, though it makes more sense. Otherwise HotR would be stronger with slow weapons than fast. I don't think that's a large enough effect for HotR to surpass CS on a single target, but it's probably a good inconsistency to fix anyway.

Unfortunately, the nova portion is only doing 1-2 damage at all AP levels, so it's clearly bugged or not implemented properly. We'll have to wait for another build to test it properly. Though given that they took the time to change the physical portion from un-normalized to normalized weapon damage, I think it's a safe bet that the nova portion will use normalized weapon damage too.

Judgement update:
-Procs seals and stacks Censure
-Acts like a normal melee attack (miss/dodge/parry)
-D/P/M seem to be ~7.5% each based on Klaud's data set, as expected for a melee attack

We'll want to re-test this again later to make sure the dodge/parry part isn't an oversight. It's sort of odd for an ability with a 30-yard range to be dodge/parry-able (hence why I think it being a spell made more sense thematically), so I wouldn't be surprised if they turn off the dodge/parry flag again in a later build.

Sanctity of Battle change: did this go live? Easiest way to test is to look at your CS tooltip while naked. Invite a class that gives the 5% spell haste buff, and see if your CS cooldown changes with/without the buff.
