When I saw this a few days ago I read it as a "Beta Retribution Paladin so it changes all the time, with tweaks, bugs etc."
Now I see what it is.

I imagine that's a joke based on the RNG of a particular seal... but I can't figure out which it might be (since I didn't really get into playing a pally til WotLK even though he was started back in TBC.)

Seal of Command. Was the Alliance ret paladins seal of choice. Horde used Seal of Blood which was higher DPS -.-

Re: Beta Retribution
Seal of Command in Vanilla/BC was a high-damage random proc from melee attacks. And itself. Vanilla Ret PvP was sort of funny, because you had lots of burst if you got chain-procs, you just had no control over when you got those bursts.
Hence the nickname, "Seal of Casino"

Ah, I just remember hearing about "reckoning bombs" and whatever the shaman equiv was. I knew of SoC/SoB, but hadn't really used them (was mid-50s I think when LK came out, and had only been using Light/Wisdom up until that point for questing in areas beyond my level.) Oh... and I was Prot...

Re: Beta Retribution
By the time you leveled, SoCommand may have already been redesigned into "Seal of Cleave."
I was disappointed that they made Seal of Righteousness into SoCleave in MoP. I'd rather see Righteousness be the base one that gets replaced, and Command be the SoCleave, just for historical reasons.

Seal of Command did more damage that Seal of blood and was auto-critical if the oponent was stunned or incapacitaded but was random.
The only time i remember it fondly was when i Repentance a ally resto druid then closed in and melle crit + command crit = 1shot.
This gave us the bad reputation back then, because if you were stuned and the Paly was lucky you where 1shoted.
Cheers

Judgement of command was autocrit, not seal of command.

Re: Beta Retribution
Thats because HP generation is more important than HP spending, so you only throw out a 3HP TV if you haven't got any HP generators to use (which is, iirc, all the other attacks for ret nowadays?)

Exo Judge and CS/HotR are generators for Ret.
Any link for the EJ post where there's the priority for MoP ? I suck at searching...
