FFVII would "Kill the Franchise"

Maybe that's why I liked VII so much, the setting was vastly different from most of the franchise. Not so much renaissance/medieval/"steampunk".

Although I did like the characters in VI more than VII not to mention the variety of characters which just hasn't really happened since. And Terra with Gem Box and Economizer... nuff said.
