For some reason I seem to recall rupture for sub is an exception to this for some reason. I might be misremembering it incorrectly, I might test later if I'm bored enough, but I'm sure I've read that you want to put rupture up with as many buffs as possible (tricks, master of subtlety etc) because it keeps those even when refreshed by evis. I've no idea why this would be the case in this instance, or maybe whoever wrote whatever I read was confused, or I might just be remembering incorrectly.

Edit: skimming the EJ sub thread a bit there's a lot of mentions of being able to keep a buffed rupture rolling the entire fight, so there must be something peculiar about sub's rupture refresh mechanism.
