The reason why the NHL playoffs are great are the same reasons I can't watch it =(

Game 7 Caps/Bruns tonight, complete toss up. No one in the NHL can win at home, so there is no home ice advantage. Both teams have scored 14 goals this series with no empty netters. Both goalies have been playing out of their minds, Thomas was insane in game 6.

I will be living through mobile alert updates.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

As long as the Red Sox remain horrible I'll be happy.

With Bobby V at the helm, is not that unfeasible

Don't think you could ask for more than 3 series stretching to 7 games and the West was awesome as it felt like a complete changing of the guard.

Though I don't think this will last. San Jose/Detroit/Chicago/Vancouver will surely come back with a vengeance.

Coyotes survived the first round (first time since they've been here)!

Though I doubt they'll get by Nashville. The Preds are basically the same team as Phoenix is (great defense, great GK, very disciplined), but just a little better at it.
Most people want the wealth produced by a society with limited government distributed to them more generously by bigger government.

It's funny because everyone always says this about San Jose and they find new ways to shit the bed in the playoffs every year.

Looks like Billy Hunter had both fists in the cookie jar, and Fisher just got a huge boost.

They've made the conference finals 2 out of the past 3 years. Seems to be a pretty decent record; just can't get over the hump. Also, as we've seen lately in hockey, there's a lot of parity right now between the top 8 or so teams so you aren't seeing any kind of dynastic rule in hockey.

They haven't hoisted the Cup but they're always in the hunt it seems.

Oh lawdy -- Browns make a trade for #3 pick, giving up 3 picks in the process.
