....I don't see how that's relevant enough to anything at all to post on the RPP? what's wrong with horse racing?

...Paul Radcliffe is neither a horse nor a jockey. Guess I didn't think it was that obscure.

Nothing, except when it labels women's athletics as "horse racing"

Amazing natural phenomenon where the Baltic and North Seas meet but don't mix because of the differing density

You get that at the confluence of the Rhine and the Mosel in Koblenz too.

I want to get samples of them and pour them together in a big jar

Or try and use a blender on them and see if they mix.

im pretty sure if you just poured them in a jar, they would separate out into layers based on salinity and density
it would be a cool experiment to try (would be cool if they stayed side by side)

Ok, I really got some sort of lovecraftian filter running through my mind atm. I read they would separate based on sanity and density...

Oh, and why don't my format buttons or smileys work when I reply? I have to manually put all the tags in... :(

Technology is amazing

I'd rather watch concerts full of holograms of dead artists than see one today.

Speaking of rappers here they are in 1st grade

What's amusing is the illusion was described in 1584 has been implemented since the 1860s: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pepper's_ghost

Granted, with high resolution projectors and CGI they can do far more interesting things, but you are still limited to a very narrow viewing angle.

For several Blizzcons we've had a dozen people from guild go, and I made LED plates that would have our character names floating above our heads. If we had gone this past year, I had planned on having our characters idling or dancing or casting or whatever on our shoulders by using a sheet of plexiglass and a picoprojector rig. Alas, we opted to do the PPV stream instead, and it was cheaper and more flexible enough such that we'll probably never go to another Blizzcon. And the "holograms" would have been mindblowing last year; now with it becoming more and more commonplace, not nearly as interesting.

*soapbox*

We were founding member of the Beglium Cosplay Team, the first cosplay contest organizer in Belgium. We've had a history of cosplay togheter that stretches back to july 2000, and had us offer a first part for the avant-première of the Full Metal Alchemist first movie.

So... yeah, she did a Vocaloid last week ;-)

The only cosplay I've done is Pyramid Head. I could prolly cosplay Heavy Weapons if I would actually put any effort into making props again -- or going to cons again for that matter.

Some of my friends still cosplay.

My ex cosplayed as a redhead Episode 2 Padme. That was kinda hot. I could never convince her to try ren fair garb, not even a dirndl or other medieval garments -- prolly cuz even though she was irish, she couldn't dance for shit (not that I can either) =P
