My guild is just me and 3 friends, so this gave me a small preview of what it's like to be a raider. I'll try to make it again next week and hopefully we can have another shot at Ragnaros. :)

You did superb for a first attempt. Agreed was a good time, I very rarely get to DPS anything semi-relevant other than Zon, Yor and Hagara (even still running LFR as tank, stupid trinket), so it was nice to be able to do that last night. Even if Theck's legendary alt kept edging me out... *shakes fist

Gear=skill, clearly!

Also, I expect next week to go more smoothly. For starters, Alice will be completing her legendary, so we'll have to kill Rag. And generally that means more of Cadenza will show up on mains to help out, which means a faster and smoother run. Some of the Blackrock pugs we brought last night weren't performing very well, and it really held us back.

I may also tank it on my warrior if we have some solid DPS, just because it would speed things up a little to have me pulling.
<edit> or actually, I could go on Theck since I'll be MIA next weekend, so I don't need to worry about keeping myself un-saved for mount farming in 10H.

best part of the gear distribution was all the people saying things like 'Nah, I don't really need that - give it to that other guy.'

Multibox tanking is clearly the only solution. :P

Obviously you couldn't be talking about that Shaman that wiped us twice (or once and nearly twice can't remember; it was late and I had been imbibing a tad) with the wall strat that apparently only he/she was trying to pull off?

The subtle trolling from some of the raid was pretty entertaining.

Wish I would have gotten in on the runs a bit sooner, but glad I had the opportunity before she finished. I love the Xrealm raid feature, it's nice to be able to assoicate a toon, voice, personality etc... to some of the posters on here.

I'll dps next week on my paladin rather than the warrior alt who just tossed the archaeology weapon on a full blue tank set to soak up gear, lol. That should help dps considerably. :lol:

Don't listen to him, he'll stand in crystal traps on Shannox, or die to fire traps.

(Why yes, we do know how to let things go, but the irony of the raid leader yelling at raiders for doing what he did? Delicious.)

I just heard that last part in the voice of I-don't-know-who from the DBM april fools 'special' talking about fear being delicious.

At any rate - with Meloree and (possibly) Theck tanking... I'll just plan on leaving my tank gear in the bank :P

I know, right? Looks like I have 7 days to get my DPS gear to acceptable levels (or somehow powerlevel my druid from iLvl 310 to at least 370).

My first (OK, second if you count a trash run and aborted attempt on Shannox) time in FL was as the off-tank to Meloree on one of these runs a little while back, along with a handful of Cadenza mains (IIRC). Man, it was fun. Also, good healers (along with good play, of course) can make you feel invincible.

That was also when I decided I should learn to play ret better :P

Just a friendly reminder that ICC25H is tonight. The more the merrier. I don't plan on doing any of the annoyingly hard achievements (Full House, Nausea, Portal Jockey) unless we really have to. I do plan on finishing Hrob's blood queen quest though.
