Sending the invites in waves will ease it a bit for blizzard, i mean a lot of people just download the beta, sit around, level a pandaren to 10, then dont log in again for a while.
The real problem is likely going to be when they add new stuff when lots of people have gotten into the beta.
I just hope i get mine and its all ready when they actually release stuff, but even then id almost rather not have beta available than play a beta that goes down every 5min with 5k ms :S

Got mine 2 days ago, currently leveling a Brewmaster and copied all 5 of my tanks to Lost Isles.

Just when DKs came out, everyone wanted ***death**** in the name..
I bet pandamonk or monkpanda is the most used with all kinds of accents (if they allow them)
