Wow, they hammered the Saints.
(Not that I disagree - we'll see what happens to the players as that hasn't been decided.)
I wonder if the Rams have any recourse for losing their DC - haven't read anything about that yet...
Aside: Grrr stupid Suns - up 10 on the Miami cHeat with about 6 minutes left and just completely fall apart.

Well considering some of the coffee I was drinking at the time of reading your post ended up coming out my nose... If that doesn't deserve a sig nothing does? Maybe it was the mental image... it was awesome (and slightly frightening)!
I also have some added investment in the devolping Jets situation considering Stanton left the Lions in hope of competing for a starting job. Obviously being the true troll that Tebow is... Stanton got Tebowed

Sean Peyton suspended for a year, lose their draft picks.
Also, Tebow traded to the Jets for 4th round pick.
Oof that's a much harsher punishment than I expected.

I imagine Williams will get another year tacked on. But I'm not sure who would want him. His defenses are going to be watched like a hawk. Better for the Rams to cut bait and run.

AFAIK Williams is gone indefinitely pending appeal allowed following the 2012 season.

Yeah, that's what I meant. He is gone for this season, and my bet would be that Goodell tacks on another year.

Wow, the Saints got the hammer dropped on them, but it's no more than they deserve.
And I really feel bad for Tebow. I can't imagine why the Jets would give Suck-chez a new contract, THEN bring in Tebow. The second Sanchez has a bad game (and it won't take long), everyone will be screaming to bring in Tebow. And it's not like Sanchez had much confidence to begin with, now he gets to play with the knowledge that the fans and NY Media are just waiting to have a Shark-feeding frenzy the second he screws up.
If it was happening to a team I didn't loathe, I'd feel worse.

The Tebow to the Jets trade just fell apart. Apparently Denver was with the idea that Jets were gonna pay them $5 million to recoup the contract bonuses they paid Tebow -- which is the same reason why the Jags did't agree to the deal originally.
Also... wow

Also... wow

Tebow to Jets deal is melting down, Elway is getting greedy, wanting payback of bonuses by the Jets.

Yeah, that's total bullshit.
Broncos go 7-24 before Tebow was the actual starter, they trade Brandon Marshall away after the Orton demotion, effectively losing their best WR. Tebow comes in and somehow makes the franchise exciting, lots of buzz and whatnot, they reverse into the playoffs, win against the Steelers on a Dragon to Thomas in overtime. I'd say that Tebow earned his fucking bonus.

Tebow's gonna be on the Denver bench this year, unless they outright cut him. /cuedrama

If he earned it why won't the Jets pay the 5 million then? If he's such a god tier quarterback worthy of this bullshit hype circus he's worth it right?
It's not the Broncos fault the Jets brass couldn't even read his contract properly. They're saying "don't want to honor your part of taking over his contract? Oh well guess you don't want him that badly then" and I completely agree with them. I wouldn't pay 5 mil for him to backup some guy I just gave an extension to but then again there's no way in hell I'd have given Sanchez that extension to begin with.
