"9th Wonder Comics"
Bonus points if you get the reference
Probably would have copyright infringement issues though =/

I like that concept, seems to emphasize the secret identity theme, might not work too well on a banner though.
\EDIT: I ALSO EXPECT PLENTY OF ROYALTIES FOR THAT NAME!

I like the name, and the image with the yellow bar: works well for a storefront sign, simple logo, recognizable. Similarly, I like the glasses motif, but that's harder to represent in signage I suppose, and it might confuse people ("Alter Ego optometrist?"
) at first glance.
Very clever though for a comic book store name, I must say.

Re: Help me name a comic store
We have begun to process our inventory, got 120 huge boxes of collectables and toys. We've only gone through about 10 since we have to clean every item, research decent price, take a studio shot for our records, and input data into our POS, the re-box it.
A lot of the stuff we have too many duplicates of or the boxes aren't in the best of shape we decided to start posting on e-bay. They gave us only a 300 item limit to test us out. It's still a work in progress, but I'm happy to report that people have started to buy some of our stuff.

Hoping when e-bay ups our listing limit we can post all our super cool things, our entire stock.
Was excited today, I received part of my t-shirt shipment. A couple of Bazinga shirts, as well as some Decepticon Logo and Autobot Log shirts. I have about 12 more designs coming in soon(Green lantern, captain america, thundercats, star wars, superman, batman, etc). I'm specially excited about my Darth Vader Cookie Jar...now I don't know if I want to sell it hahaha.
Slowly but surely.
We haven't even touched our 82 long boxes...that is going to be interesting, a whole nother can of worms.

This is my favourite one.
I feel that it might be in part to the colour scheme - I look at it and think Maintankadin. Wonder if I would feel the same if it were in red.

Red is awesome but we are purposefully staying away from red because we are the good guys not the villains =) Well personally if we had a lot of red in our logo I'd think more Magneto than Xavier hehe.
Soon we have to get our outdoor sign built for our store so Mike's got to finish this design soon =)

Plus red fades HORRIBLY in outdoor signage. Oh god the number of cracked, faded and peeling red signs is just awful. Half the signs end up pink after a few years out in the sun.

Re: Help me name a comic store
I would say that you take a look at your location from where the traffic is and judge what color "stands out" the most compared to everyone elses. Example: All shops have black lettering, go with white letters on black.

These are pictures of our location, currently there is an art frame store there. We will def take down those awnings, but we are right next to Uncle's Games which is great because IMO part of our demographic. They hold tournaments right in front of our store, also we are right across from the food court and next to an entrance/exit. Plus love those three window spaces.
We will be at Crossroads Mall in Bellevue, WA.
