If you have a tough time with Tetris you may want to stay away from this one. Sam Hughes has released HATETRIS, a frustrating Tetris-inspired title now available to play.

The title plays just like Tetris except that it purposely gives you the worst piece for the situation every time, and boy does it do a good job. Try to get a single line filled, and if you do that, just try and get another. You almost have to trick the AI into unwittingly giving you the piece(s) you need. A chess match indeed.

Yes, you will get a lot of S pieces. But it doesn't give you solely S pieces - if that were the case, then it would be possible to make lines forever, which is much too easy.

This game rocks! Thank you! My only gripe is that damn fish achievement, I must have tried for about an hour and had to stop before I smashed my computer into a thousand pieces maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Also checked out a few others and The Last Stand - Union City was pretty fun. Typical Survival Horror side scroller but decent leveling system and pretty cool weapons. Was a solid waste of several hours.

Oooh, good one. Those were fun. I wish they were multiplayer; can't help but think that playing against another person would be 100x more fun than playing against the AI.

Yeah, that would be awesome in multiplayer. I liked the first one a little better, as I couldn't just tailor it to "Better" after sufficient rounds. I find myself zerging a lot: I definitely play for the growth+speed, rather than strength, attributes. There's one map in the first one that's hard for me on just about every race, though: the one with large nodes on the left and right, and clusters of three smaller ones at top and bottom.

Its interface would be really well suited to an Andriod or Iphone app, too.

Enjoy. Never played any of the single player games but I had fun getting my ass kicked by people who had 2000+ games under their belts. Think I'll have a go at the single player ones in the near future before giving another attempt at the live version.

Pretty cool indeed! And when it gets going, it GETS GOING. Last couple are a bit of a pain to hit tho, since you don't seem to have any control over which direction the balls bounce.
