Hey all

I recently got the lfr version of this trinket while looking through the logs I noticed some very big shields 96k, which seems a lot as this was all on normal modes and I don't think I was taking 220k hits.
Anyway probably something obvious I've missed but here's the logs for any that are interested.
It also looks like the shield often faded before been used, but I guess 6 seconds should be long enough for most healers to get a tank back up.

Ok i've had a closer look at the logs and Mutated Corruptions really can hit for 219k.
Pro tip this is a whole lot easyer to check at home than on a smart phone...

That is a totally normal amount for impale damage

Although I would recommend at least using something like Divine Protection or GoAK if you don't have Dream just to make sure you don't die.

We're not doing hard modes on this yet, so correct me if I am missing a mechanic, but doesn't the other tank taunt when impale happens? It's great to have a 90k shield and all, but not so much if you aren't taking any damage before it goes away.

Unless you are 2T/3H you probably have enough dps to reliably kill the Corrupted Tentacle prior to the second impale. If you have all of your dps save their CDs for the Corrupted Tentacles instead of wasting them on the limb, then you still might be able to finish it off prior to a second impale, especially with the additional 5% nerf.

We just have one tank take the tentacle untill he gets impale.
As soon as he gets the debuff we swap tanks, the other has to run around to pick up adds anyway.
Unless its a DK, then he wanna stack his blood shield as high as possible, then taunt right before impale, and as soon as he gets the first debuff, we taunt back, so the DK doesnt actually take any melee damage, only impales.
Indomitable is pretty good for the first hit after impale but thats about it.
But Indomitable pride(hc) + stay of execution still beats any other combination of trinkets for the fight.
