A wise and frugal government which shall restrain men from injuring one another, which shall leave them otherwise free to regulate their own pursuits of industry and improvement, and shall not take from the mouth of labor the bread it has earned. This is the sum of good government. – Thomas Jefferson

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_u-43LN-7Cg - One of the best things to come out of like a version. I could have sworn there was a half english version though. Owl Eyes was pretty awesome as well.

Metallica's cover of Turn the Page was great.

In a Gadda Da Vida was originally a 10 minutes + epic by Iron Butterfly.
Slayer covered it in under 4 minutes. And its awesome.

Ben Folds is brilliant. The way he covers that on a piano is awesome.
Also Simona Molinari's cover of Doris Day's "Que Sera, Sera" is amazingly good. An eery version of the song was also done by Pink Martini (was in the suicide seen from Mary and Max) and is quite good as well.

So much this. I love Bob Seger, but Metallica just did it better.
