Quick CTC question

Hi Guys,

I think I must be misunderstanding something. I am 103.73 CTC (see http://imgur.com/a/SX4yZ) with buffs but on our world of logs it shows that I have been hit 3x on the Morchock kill. Why is this?

Is the log viewable?

Could be worldoflogs logging something incorrectly or oddly. If there are enough absorbs on a melee swing for it to do zero damage (excluding block) sometimes it shows up as a hit, I think this came up in the Baleroc thread.

This is something that I noticed on our Morchok kill the other day. I took 17 "hits" on WoL, but the average value of each 'hit' was 28k, compared to the 37.7k of each block. Over the course of our pulls, I think I averaged about 10% 'hit' on melee attacks. Our warrior tank took 4 hits over the course of the night, but those were for 62k - I think those were genuine hits. I was on the side with a Disc priest, he was with a shaman/paladin - so it probably is something from absorbs.

Looking at your log, I notice that your 'hits' are also far lower than your blocks.

This link shows SWING_DAMAGE (melee hits) you took.

This link shows SWING_DAMAGE (melee hits) you took where the amount blocked was zero. There were none.

This link shows your 3 "hits". Fully absorbed melee swings are still counted as hits as the boss doesn't miss you. Of course at 102.4% we know that they will end up being blocked but nothing enters the combat log to say this will happen. Absorbs come before blocks.

1. Thanks guys. I noticed the lower damage too but really didn't know what to make of it.
