Currently flipping back and forth between a randomized Billy Joel playlist and the How to Train Your Dragon soundtrack.

I really need to fix unicode fonts on this thing (or figure out what encoding the tags are using if not unicode):

Will post grooveshark when home.

Zomg, Five Finger Death Punch also has a new album! Nothing better than discovering that a band you love is releasing a new album, AND you don't have to wait for it.

We're exceptionally guilty of this. It's not unheard of for us to play the same song for about two to three hours straight. (Which, thankfully, we both enjoy... for most people this would drive them absolutely bonkers.) Current culprit for this is VNV Nation - Illusion.
Oh wow, that just filled a nice little niche in my itunes. \o/
Anyway, the past few weeks have been... eclectic. Generally I'll pick a style on my mood, but I've just been grabbing random favorite songs and chucking them into a playlist. D:

I do that too. I have a CD in my car that is, I kid you not, 100% Caramelldansen. Unfortunately, it's also the only thing my son ever wants to listen to.
I try really hard to avoid this, after the first few times when I listened to a song so many times I didn't like feel that thrill listening to it anymore. Nowadays I "ration" songs I like, maybe let myself listen to it a few times when I first get it, then avoid listening to it more than a few times a week :X
Anyway, tonight's grooveshark playlist is pretty indulgent, lots of favourites on it, but it's saturday and we're drunk:

Can't stop listening to Puscifer. Also, I'm a huge fan of A Perfect Circle - which is probably why I like Puscifer so much.

Nooottt quite as good as War Is the Answer, but still a fun listen. Definitely has more personality than their previous albums.

I agree. War is the Answer will be their Master of Puppets, probably. Not to say that the stuff before or after isn't good, but its just hard to bring back the feel of a great album like those.

This is a great album if you like Radiohead, Reggae music or neither.

Okay, am I just going crazy, or was the album's name originally supposed to be imaginarium

I thought it was Imaginarium too. But the video and everything shows Imaginaerum. /shrug

Though at 1:48 it sounds like she says Imaginarium.

From wikipedia
On February 23, three interviews were released on the website - one each with composer Tuomas Holopainen, director Stobe Harju, and producer Markus Selin. Holopainen revealed the origin of the project, and that Nightwish will appear as themselves in the film, with minor roles.[17] On August 31, the band announced that the album and movie had changed name from Imaginarium to Imaginaerum, to avoid mix-ups with other things entitled "Imaginarium".[18] This also led to changing the title of the track with the same name, but the song "Storytime" still include the word "imaginarium" in the lyrics.[19]

Re: What are YOU listening to?
Right now, I've listened to the new Toneshifterz album rouglhy 7 or 8 times the last 24 hours!
Sadly, I redid my media library 2 months ago, so my most played are gone. The right side are the newest added music + internet radio (which i always keep at the bottom).

Brutalicus wrote:I found some awesome music this week. You know the most recent DC Universe Online commercial? I Googled it because the song was catchy, and I ended up buying the CD immediately after listening to 3 or 4 songs. It's definitely different than my usual fare, maybe just because it's so catchy. Here's my favorite track from the disc; it's a cover of The Cure's "Burn" which was on the soundtrack for The Crow (great movie, different thread).
Also, I found out Mastodon had a new CD! Long story short, it's awesome.
We (read: Invis did) downloaded a bunch of the stuff from Anix and it's awesome. Thanks for that!

How was this? I just started listen to some of their stuff again after some one linked "Dance epidemic" and enjoying it.
I like these threads as it gives me ideas of what to go look up. I rediscovered Boom Boom Satellites when Invis mentioned them elsewhere
More on topic though, currently on my play list is a few episodes of Van Buuren's A State of Trance and Tiesto's Club life. Typical I know, but it is usually decent for background and often a gem or two each week.

We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

I do not know, he doesn't seem to be promoting them on his twitter any longer.

I usually listen to everything by a band and then switch bands. Bands like RHCP take a couple of days to winnow through.
