darkmoon faire is a joke
5 tickets per day from dailies, wow any math wizards out there able to tell how long it would take to get both mounts and all the pets lol 5 per day is pretty bad on blizzards part imo, that grind
ptr had 5 tickets per daily, so 25 per day,,

Best to just do the profession quests each month, and save up. No dailies for me, esp at 1 ticket per daily.

I enjoyed the fair. It's well thought out, pretty and unique. It's what the Faire should've been all along.

Re: darkmoon faire is a joke
I got 27 tickets on the first day, have a quest for 10 more, and didn't do the arch quest. If I did the same every month plus the quest I have unfinished it'd take 5 months. If I also did the dailies every day they were up even less, and with the Arch quest (requires 75 skill) less still.

Re: darkmoon faire is a joke
I agree with the OP: it does seem horribly grindy (for very little reward). If they had made the profession quests dailies, then I would have been interested but otherwise not worth getting out of bed for. I played the patch content for a weekend and already I am bored. Roll on SWTOR.

QQ moar?
honestly i love the new faire and frankly if you have ever done ANYTHING with the old faire but turn in decks ( i assume, never turned one in myself) then you would know that it is a slow boring grind
at least now they have more games and more things to do!

It's definitely a vast improvement. But it's gonna get old really fast at 5 tickets a day.

Re: darkmoon faire is a joke
I'm primarily a raider, so it's all so much junk to me, but I have seen people getting random quest items from 5 man bosses for the DMF when they carry the journal, they said handing these in rewards 10 tickets per item? Seems like that would make things a lot faster depending how high the drop rate is and how often you can hand them in.

But there's LOADS of room for upgrading the whole island. Kysen was looking around the whole island when it first opened and noted that it was pretty empty - but I think that's well planned out... there's loads more they can build into it.
And considering this came in a patch with three new dungeons and a new raid (and three versions thereof - despite it being stupidly undertuned), I think it's good *enough*.

ROFLMAO. Ok, mark this. I agree with Invis for once.
It's the faire, and it's *supposed to be* grindy. I mean, this isn't even like getting JP. You don't have to complete any instances or slay any dragons, no matter how low or high they're tuned. As Invis obliquely points out, this is like Argent Tourney or BG rep (rep, not honor).

Not sure if the "is" is intentionally conceding the OPs point or a Freudian slip, but whatever, have fun.
Invisura wrote:Five months for a mount?? My god, those bastards.
Well, grinds for most of those mounts are rather more varied and entertaining than repeating five games at a Faire. You get many by doing stuff you, presumably, like such as PVP or instances. Even the violet protodrake was rather fun to acquire, despite my indifference to achievements as a whole. No argument with the Winterspring saber though, but that's hardly a model to emulate, is it?
However, I know I am not the target market. I would grind a lot for the one flying and one ground mount I use: in my case, a netherdrake and the Argent Tournament charger. But don't see the point of collecting seconds, let alone a plethora.

The Talbuk was one single repeatable quest and you had to kill orcs. Hundreds and thousands of orcs.
