Why?.. unless you were buying heirlooms, I don't see any reason where you wouldn't have spent those VP on VP gear.

Farm JP up to cap, and have excess VP to convert down to JP (for example, less than 1250 VP). I personally only farmed enough badgers between the two types so that I would end up with around 4k, but I could've really maximized my JP.
