To maximize the amount of T12 you can purchase, there are a few strats you can use, depending on how much grinding you want to do now.

Simpler:

1) Spend every VP you have now on gear. Run some ZX if you're just under the amount needed for a piece.
2) Max out your JP at 4000

This way at 4.3 you get 4000 JP to spend of T12, plus you already have the stuff you bought with VP.

Harder:
1) Spend all your VP as above.
2) Max out your JP, and get your HP to 3750. If you don't PvP, convert JP to HP and keep grinding.
3) When 4.3 drops, spend some JP, then convert your 3750 HP into 2500 JP and buy another piece.

Your JP won't get touched. VPs will be converted in JPs and added to what you got. If the total of JP exceeds 4k, the JP past 4k get converted to gold.

Are you sure?
I'm working so can't dig thru the network... but irrc on the last major patch reset:
VP was converted into JP until 4000, more than that was converted into cash.
JP was converted into cash...

Positive. Your JP stays put. If your VP converts to JP over 4k, then you get cash for it. You JP is not wiped clean.

Farm JP up to cap, and have excess VP to convert down to JP (for example, less than 1250 VP). I personally only farmed enough badgers between the two types so that I would end up with around 4k, but I could've really maximized my JP.

But to purchase what? I would assume that he's already bought all the valor gear, so other than heirlooms... why? Nothing else on the JP vendor is worth it.

Still, you'll get JP from running heroics, so it's not really a huge deal. Getting JP capped or over capped only really helped folks who hadn't purchased all the valor gear yet.

It's under a one week grace period, from the looks of it. Excess JP will turn to gold next Tuesday. Don't let that happen! 378 bracers still AH well above the 588g you'd get.
