Re: Skyrim, first impressions (limit spoilers, please!)
I decided to use some grand soul gems to make some +blacksmithing gear, and some +archery gear. Bow went from ~100 damage per hit to ~300 damage per hit without full archery perks o.O. Pre-upgrade without the archery gear on, same bow was 60 damage.

Incase anyone was wondering, apparently the amount of alchemy skill you get per potion craft is dependant on the value of the potion you craft (ex: giant's toe and wheat make me like 1500 value potions with multiple effects and give me half a bar of skill). Fortify x potions seem the most valuable while basic poisons and healing potions are the least. I haven't gotten up to the purity perk but I'm not sure how that will interact with potion price. This definitely isn't true for blacksmithing and I am pretty sure it isn't for enchanting but I'll have to check.

Re: Skyrim, first impressions (limit spoilers, please!)
I accidentally came within one quest of finishing the main dragon storyline, and I can say that the quests and dungeon leading up to the final encounter were the best imagining of a dungeon crawl that I've ever experienced, be it D&D, Wow, or a Forgotten Realms book. The word EPIC is close but not adequate.
Upon realizing that I was at the last save point before the final battle, I reloaded a few jumps away and I will be delaying it a bit, until I'm a little higher than 28. Apparently I need to stop and smell (pick) the flowers. Spoiler Alert!!! The final questline is called: Elder Knowledge

Spoiler alert!: There's quite a few quests left after that one.:
Agreed on that dungeon though, still need to make another visit to fully explore the place.

Yep I dont know where there is an end in sight for me lol. I'm barely starting to hit my second city, Riften, and I still havent finished all the quests in Whiterun, my first city. I think it's cuz I'm seriously trying to not miss anything it's so fun. Think I'm going to go get the Mage's guild quest line started though, gonna leave Dark Brotherhood towards the end, I don't want to kill any NPC's before they give me some of their quests.

None of the Dark Brotherhood Quests make you kill anyone with a quest =]
Also; I'm not sure if I want to keep going or if I'm stuck in radiant story. I've champed every guild, and I have 9 Daedric Artifacts >.< I think I might do all the Dragon priests though

Well from what I read you have to kill some guy who you have to turn in a quest item too, and I did his quest so maybe there is.

The only way that's possible is through radiant story, And if you're doing those like crazy, then yeah you'll eventually kill someone you need for A quest. but I don't think it's that big of an issue since none of them are actual side/story quests. I think though that you're thinking of an optional killing, without spoiling anything I think that the guy you're talking about is one of those things where you CAN kill him. But you don't HAVE to. (The Dark Brotherhood Quests are. EPICCCCCCC.) Srsly amazing.

oooh okay so killing some people is part of the radiant story from dark brotherhood which is totally separate from their main story line, got it thanks!!

Actually, can you even kill someone who has a major quest? Don't they just get back up again?

That's been my experience, and trust me, I really tried to kill some of them...
