Lately we've been getting our hands on some decent people for our 10 man team, and been progressing from scratch to rather decent progress on Rag HC within a month, with only 2 raids a week. We always bring the same 10 people (and classes if people cant come), so it got me thinking that since we always have a DK on our team, JotJ is rather wasted.

Now even if Eternal Glory sucks balls, wouldnt it be better than having something thats wasted? WoG has a CD, so EG can proc every 20 sec. Now on a 8 minute fight you'd have (8*60)/20 = 24 chances to proc EG. Take missed CS' into account for poor HoPo generation and lets say ~20 chances for EG to proc. 30% chance of 20 is (20/100)*30 = 6 extra SotR or full Inq. Make all those SotR crit for 50k and hang onto your expertise and theoretically you've got ~300k dmg extra every fight.
(Anyone dealt with low percentage wipes on Beth pre-nerf or had Baleroc dps trouble?)

Let me get other perspectives - does JotJ double-dip and makes judgements proc seals like i've heard, or would this be a decent thing to do for maxing our raiddps?

For starters, your 300k estimate will be way too large. Those aren't "free" SotRs, because they take the place of other abilities. If you check the Talent Guide, you'll see that in the end, each point in EG is only about 100 DPS at most, and that's under somewhat ideal circumstances (maximum WoG usage). For an 8-minute fight, that's only 48k extra damage, about one extra crit SotR (or one extra GCD from any DPS player in your raid).

If anything, you'd probably be better off having your DK respec. If you can talent into a raid utility that's automatically applied as part of your rotation, why not?

Frost Fever is automatically applied as a part of the DKs rotation as well though.

Yea i figured the estimate was way too big to be practically possible, but the talent still feels like a waste on bosses where you just hit 1 target. Counting in the number of bosses in FL that has adds the DK probably wont ever hit (Rhyolith spark etc.), this feels like a rather pointless thread now haha. - Thanks anyways.

Yeah and the dk always puts frost fever on all your targets and he's always alive?

Only thing interesting to pick up is slightly more damage. Reckoning is interesting but thats about it.
