We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

I'd have to say the imagination people had in making some of those is impressive.

Guilty! I used Waerloga on 2 servers, now it's Warloga after a server transfer and the stupid RP Server Name Requirements wouldn't let me use Waerloga.

Surprised at no "Britneyfears" in the Warlock list.

Treesus, Clawandorder, and Restofarian have me rolling.
Druids have the best names, by far.

I've gotta confess, I'm highly skeptical of those lists. I'd wager that those are a selection of most interesting or amusing names from among the most popular, rather than the raw top 10s.

WHAT WOULD BEST DESCRIBE YOUR PERSONALITY?
Moonlight Sonata Techno Remix
Scriggle - 85 Fire Mage
Fizzmore - 81 Mut Rogue
Adorania - 80 Disc Priest

Well there is a finite number of realms and only one unique name per realm. For instance there are 241 US realms and 177 Brostorms on the Armory.
So most popular is still a relatively small number of characters.

The lack of a variant of legolas or sephiroth in that list makes me quite skeptical, though the multiple varieties of owlcapwn for the druids make it more believable...

Legolaz: 195 characters/153 are hunter
Arrowdynamic: 168 characters/166 are hunters

Check again.
Also this isn't a "most popular name" list, but a "most popular names for each class" list. For instance Holycow returns over 200 characters but not a significant total per class.

Some of those are actually quite clever I think. Others though...

Surprised that Lolarthazzdk isn't in the first DK names.

Probably due to no standart. Arthas is a forbidden name, so everyone needs to make a variation. Ergo, everyone has its own variation.
Which leads me to wonder what the top names will be in other language groups, if only because "dk" is prononced in the same way as "déca" in french, shorthand for decaffeinated coffee.
Also, what are the top names by race. 10 bucks says we've got Bigmac in the tauren.

I'm amazed so many people actually found/chose this name, after all, over 75% of the names seem to have either a fun part (lol, wtf, pwn, pvp, etc) or a class specific part (dk, pal, pally, lock, drood, sham, shammy, rogue, etc) in it.
Personally, I do have 2 characters called Wærloga, although I kinda regret not calling the second one Varolokkur.
In tribute to the original Paladin, Charles the Hammer Martel (° 688 - † 22 oct 741).

Gnome tanks are pretty good, I mean, you don't need to wrap them in foil before roasting because they come pre-wrapped. - Pyrea
