Macro to announce trinket time

So I've been looking around and yet to find something like this, so I thought I'd ask.


I'm looking for a macro to tie into my trinket one (/use 13 /use 14) that will announce when I use it, and then announce when it's about to expire. Kind of like how RSA does it with spells.

Also, while I think this is highly impossible, is there any way to announce to the raid how much Scales of Life healed me for when I activate it?

Download something with /in capabilities, a few addons have it.

/yell Using [x]
/use [x]
/in [time] /yell [x] has worn off!

Your Scales of Life idea is impossible without an addon.

Actually, Fuzzy, come to think of it, is it possible for TJH to announce how much Scales of Life healed for? I know RSA does with Lay on Hands and it might be convenient for my healers to know as well.

Here's my rule that I have for it.
/tjh rule SPELL_AURA_REMOVED;Hellreiser;Hellreiser;Weight of a Feather;self;RAID;Scales of Life Activated.;;

Come to think, it may only announce the spell cast. There may not be a value there. I should add that.

Can you post a combat line involving the Scales of Life heal? I'm guessing it'll be something like

As my chat mod doesn't allow me to copy and paste from the combat log, here's what it is when I activate it.

Hellreiser's Tipping of the Scales heals Hellreiser for 0.(19208 Overhealed)

If you need ID's or anything, let me know and I'll find a new mod that allows the log to be copy/pasted.

You can /combatlog to turn on logging, and pull the line directly out of /World of Warcraft/logs/WoWCombatLog.txt

But this should be enough for me to work with.

Oh hey, looks like this is already in.

For event type, select "SPELL_HEAL"
Spell: Tipping of the Scales

and it should announce "Hellreiser's Tipping of the Scales heals Hellreiser for 19208."

For the trinkets you can set an announce when you gain the aura, and set a second rule to do a delayed announce of expiration.
