Blizzcon Streaming
So, given how lousy last year's Blizzcon was, our guild is opting to pile into my house for the weekend and order the PPV instead. I had a couple questions about how the stream worked -- namely, do we have to watch things in realtime? e.g., the Raids & Dungeons panel is going to be one of the panels we want to watch. If we're out burying people in the desert when it starts, will we just be out of luck?
Are there multiple streams going on at the same time, and could we have different streams playing in different parts of the house? Would this require multiple streams to be purchased on different bNet accounts?

Re: Blizzcon Streaming
There are multiple streams happening at the same time as they air different rooms that are happening side by side. Although I imagine you'd need more than one account to play them at the same time. (This might not be the case however.)
You can play back whatever you want, whenever you want, which we found to be a very handy feature.

You can basically DVR everything, but be sure to watch what you really want to see live. Several of the recordings were screwed up or chopped last year, particularly the tournament coverage.

you can always fraps it, but not sure if you can download the streams from blizzcon, maybe some of them (alteast the important announcements) will be VoDs, and likely some parts are gonna come up on their own Youtube Channel.

It might be possible, but I'm sure you're not supposed to be able to. The streaming is through a proprietary PPV client.

Blizzcon stream
Necro !
So, I've nothing planned for the week-end, so I was thinking maybe I could watch the Blizzcon LiveStream.
People who've watched previous editions, did you think it was worth it ?
All the news coming from Blizzcon will be widely available on the net, so do you think the Live experience is worth the 30€ they're asking ?

No, unless you want info and a pet at the same time.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

Unlike Flex, I thoroughly enjoyed watching it live. And would have done so again if I weren't actually going.

The only thing I would want to see live is the mighty Foo.

I did it the year that Grunty/Ozzy were the features. I think they have fixed it since then, making some of the more popular things available 'on demand' or w/e. My complaint that year was logging into it and watching an hour of Starcraft (1) competition, (which bored the shit out of me, but YMMV), and then missing the Ozzy performance and not being able to stream it anywhere after the fact.
I love Grunty though, and he is the default pet on a few of my toons, definitely worth the $40 for him.
