After actually going to work today and seeing the story pop up all over (papers, the TV on in my local Subway) I found myself more melancholic than I was last night when the news broke. Jobs was one of my childhood heroes and he died so young. Fuck cancer.

Apparently having 1 million pre-orders for the iPhone 4S is a direct result of one million people mourning the loss of Steve Jobs so much they all decided to spend over $2000 for a phone and contract.
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

What? The products Apple actually made money on and built a real company out of sold themselves. Even their computer offerings are no longer the travesty that was the 90s.
