Penn & Teller's best show

Postby Fivelives » Thu Oct 06, 2011 8:16 pm

Sadly, it's not in the US (yet?), but it is available on youtube... at least until they take it down for copyright. Get it while it's hot!

Better than "Penn & Teller Tell a Lie"
WAY better than "Penn & Teller: Bullshit"

Ladies and gentlemen of the asylum, I give you Penn & Teller: Fool Us
- I'm not Jesus, but I can turn water into Kool-Aid.
- A Sergeant in motion outranks an officer who doesn't know what the hell is going on.
- A demolitions specialist at a flat run outranks everybody.

It's also been on the torrents for a while. Great show, if you enjoy magic.

Even if you don't enjoy Penn and Teller?
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

I think yes; you can ignore the P&T Bombast if that's not your cup of tea; the majority of the show is the performances of the guest magicians (4-5 per show). Some of their routines are amazing. Some are hilarious. Whether or not P&T figure out the trick is secondary to appreciating the artistry of the guests.

I normally dislike Penn Jillette because he comes off as a pretenious, pompous ass

But i thought that was enjoyable. I've always enjoyed magic.

It was originally just supposed to be a TV special, so the pilot episode is longer than the others and isn't counted in the series count. So technically there is no episode 9, just the pilot and episodes 1-8.

Pilot and ep 1-7: http://www.youtube.com/user/pikespeak12
Ep 8 (misnumbered as ep 9): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxuojRZlsyA

That's all of 'em. They're going to the Ukraine this December to film an entire second season, according to Penn.
