Yeah, it totally is. If you are making your own gear, you can add health regen too, Which allows them to see you and chase you, but they cant kill you :D

A nice little trick for Alchemists/Summoners in Oblivion, create the most powerful Fortify Intelligence potion you can, with a 2 second duration, then cast an obscenely powerful Summons long before you usually had the power to do so. The potion is very cheap and easy to make due to the duration, yet the summons you got from it remains after the 2 seconds are up as per a normal summons, you can access the most powerful Daedra and Atronachs pretty early on if you feel using this, though anything taking a stat over 100 doesn't do much of anything, so bear that in mind :)

This was far, far worse in Morrowind, there was no cap to stats, so you created a Fortify Int potion, drank it, used your newly increased int to create a more powerful Fortify Int potion, drank it, used your... etc. Pretty soon you had insane int and could create potions with godlike power levels that lasted forever virtually. Alchemy, fun for all the family.

I'm also reminded of why, after my first playthrough, I avoided the fighters guild like the plague. The quests for it are annoying.

- A Sergeant in motion outranks an officer who doesn't know what the hell is going on.
- A demolitions specialist at a flat run outranks everybody.

I never played the vampire quest line...I'm tempted to do it.

I have enjoyed stealing from every monarch and noble person, archmage, etc, it's like my biggest challenge in that game it's so much fun.

The Dark Brotherhood questline is one of the best in the game, in my opinion. The thieves guild is a close second, but it's a bit too trite for my tastes.
