So I got the purple stein this year... but there's no achievement with it (...odd).

Also, killing Coren gives an absolutely ridiculous amount of gold. About 20g per kill. Considering it takes sub two minutes to kill him even with the shittiest of groups this is a pretty nice way to farm for gold (until they nerf it.) Picked up about 400g and change for spamming him on one character for a guildie.

I have yet to see anything special from the bags though... just a bunch of JP and one Direbew remote and I had run it 12 times for bags (before and after reset). Last year it felt like the mounts had a really high drop rate.. so I hope that keeps up so I can get the mounts on my main.

Nothing special got added to this event though right? Just the upgraded trinkets and weapons?

You can only get those once a day in the bag. It's not a drop anymore. That being said, you can still do it on all your level 85s once a day for the bag (I tried on an 83 of mine and she couldn't queue).

I'm after the shank as well for my rogue, unfortunately my druid was the one to get it today.

Definitely easy gold farming the boss.

"There is no loot" message is fail. So is a BoP dagger. I actually need that stupid thing this year.

Edit: Are we sure it only comes from the keg? Or does it drop off of Coren as well?

Coren only drops the trinkets.


The minimum level to queue for it is 84, btw.

Yep, I'm averaging 17-20g a kill.
Got all 6 trinkets, but aint seen any weapons yet - looking at 20 or so kills over 2 toons. So looks like my poor hunter will be doing it daily :/
