This made me giggle - “New York earthquakes are better because of our thinner crust.”
Also I am in Eastern TN and I didn't feel anything.

That's what she said?
We live in a society where people born on third base constantly try to steal second, yet we expect people born with two strikes against them to hit a homerun on the first pitch.

I live in Ohio no Earthquake.
I move to California no Earthquake. Nice summer out here too.
Weather is trying to stay away from me or something.

Walking through my neighborhood a few minutes ago I heard a guy yelling at his tv. Apparently he was upset Obama was golfing after the earthquake. The guy totally has a point. Obama should have cut his vacation short and come back to oversee the major disaster relief effort that is underway.

Re: East Coast Earthquake 2011
speaking of natural disasters...
Hurricane (Tropical Storm) Irene was overall not a big deal except for the way New York City responded, which was to mandatory evacuated anyone living in a zone considered at risk for storm surge flooding. Well guess who lives in one of those areas? :|
I had a fairly boring time at my parents' stuck inside and cut off from my precious video games. And THEN there was the fact that the MTA was starting back up slowly so I worked from home today.
all in all I feel like I was robbed of a weekend, but nothing was damaged here so I am pretty thankful for that.
Poor Metro-North and Battery Park City got ruined though :|

I feel the same way! I lived in NYC for 12 years and move to Orange County a year and a half ago. Missed some horrible weather since then including even an earthquake and a tropical storm! (though, to be fair, I have felt a couple of minor earthquakes here but nothing to tweet about)

Felt it here in Pittsburgh, PA. Like I was in a jello-mold for a few seconds.
