Probably; Ret Aura and Thorns made a pretty nice difference for our tanks, iirc.

can anyone confirm?

We found that having the DPS from the air do quick bursts on the hatchlings while the boss was chomping through the middle made the difference for us. I tried reforging for hit and expertise on old gear but found that I actually lost DPS (presumably through loss of strength) so stuck with my normal gear.

We had one person full time dpsing each ad with the tank and others dpsing when they could. Ads tended to just go down as we transitioned.

I would assume that shield spike does stack with the 1000% after all its damage you are doing.

I can confirm that ret aura (wol), thorns (wol), and spikes (skada) we're indeed scaling.
From wol for longest attempt on saturday:

Ret aura: 2600 on average
Thorns: 18000 damage
Shield Spike: (skada) was around 5k average i think (can't find on wol and skada reset)

So they are getting buffed just not the full amount.

For our 10man kill this week, both tanks used DPS trinkets (e.g I used HHoR & LTS) but otherwise normal tanking gear. For us the biggest thing was controlling when they would tantrum and ensuring we didnt bone one side wrt worms. We ended up calling out when one side's worm got eaten so the other side could eat too, lining up the Satiated->Hungry debuff & ensuring the last 2 got eaten around the same time so one side wasn't left wormless.

This way, there are only 2 spots in the phase when tantrum could happen and healers could be prepared/tanks could CD it. Basically debuffs go like this: Satiated->Hungry->Eat->Satiated->Hungry->Eat->Satiated->Hungry->Tantrum (+major CD)->Eat->Satiated->Hungry->Eat->Satiated->Hungry->Tantrum (+minor CD).

This also ensures no worms up going into tornado phase.

I used a hit trinket (license to slay) and Floating Web (master/expertise justice points cloak) and I almost always had the bird dead by tornado time (outputting 80k-110k). Just following the Theck's rotation of (SotR if Sacred Duty or Inquisition active)>Inq>CS>AS>J, and it never came close. DPS did drive bys while running by me to kill the next add, but nearly no help on the adds.

Anyone "lucky" enough to get their hands on 2part t12?
On ptr the setbonus doubledipped, doing about 10% of the Hatchlings HP every shieldslam.
Shield does about 500k dmg, then 20% of that, aka 100k, was increased by the 1000% aswell.
They fixed that setbonus for protwarriors on ptr, but they never fixed the paladin setbonus before ptr went down.

I checked the logs of our heroic kill, and sadly the t12 2piece bonus is not double dipping.

12.8 mil damage from shield of the righteous, 2.57 mil from righteous flames, almost a perfect 20%.

Fwiw, our tanks did sufficient dps using full tanking gear without any hit or expertise trinkets or armor (generally floating around 250k dps whenever they were actually fighting a hatchling, roughly 120-140 on recount, and 90ish on WoL dps(e)). If you're resorting to non-tanking gear, you're probably making tank healing needlessly more difficult (and hatchlings hit hard enough already).

The paladin did indeed use inquisition, and had me faerie firing his add for harder crusader strikes.

Simply reforge Dodge and Parry into Expertise until Softcap (Attention: Adds are level 87) and then into Hit.
I used a Flask of titanic strength and the reputation trinket which ive used with avenging wrath(on 1. and 3. add with full vengeance).
Thorns and Ret Aura put a decent damage boost in.
I destroyed these adds with around 135k dps.

I simply used a Exp and a Hit Trinket http://www.wowhead.com/item=65072 http://www.wowhead.com/item=58180 to reach the Caps vs. 87 Mobs and crushed them with 250k dps spikes at hatchling phases and 110k dps overall.

http://worldoflogs.com/reports/m4l7tzml ... 236&e=1938 (Normal Mode Kill from 05.07.)

And im pretty sure that i would reach even higher numbers if i try it seriously with Pots, Food and my current Gear.
If im saying weird things correct me PLEASE. I`m from Germany and don`t know it better.^^

Someone pointed out in the official forums that Imprinted appears to buff your hit chance as well. I did the fight earlier today with ~3% hit and low expertise, and clocked under 2% miss/dodge/parry which probably came from attacking other mobs.

Edit: Nevermind, disproven.

On 13 wipes last night, my miss/dodge/parry was 7.7% on CS, 10.3% on ShotR and 9.0% on Melee (looking only at Hatchling damage done).

In case that's being confused by multiple mobs with similar IDs, the individual longer attempts break down to 8.5%/5.6%/7.7%, 8.9%/6.7%/11.1% etc - all around that ballpark.

I have 1.64% hit and 12 expertise (with SoT active). So I'm definitely not seeing less than 2% miss/dodge/parry chance on my attempts.

look at out altrun yesterday:
http://www.worldoflogs.com/reports/rt-z ... tchling%22

Themi and suty were the tanks and you see a good chunk of misses / parrys / dodges on the hatchlings. They both have around 2% Hit and 15 Expertise unbuffed.

Real nice observation from last night - Once you have imprinted on you, you can divine shield and tank them for 8 seconds without taking any damage (well, at least this worked on hardmode).

Hmm, you're right, under that filter I see some misses (mostly Censure). I guess I just got lucky on the attempt I looked at.
